No luck by now.
I tried:
1) SFO Airport 50$ - rejected
2) added Civic Center 55$ - rejected
3) added Cathedral Hill 62$ - rejected
4) added South San Fran 65$ - rejected
Since I have BW El Rancho Inn as Backup at 78$ (used the best rate guarantee to lower the price from 95 to 78) I will not bid more than 65-70$.
I'll keep on trying and update this thread if something changes
Hi there,
I thought about it and you are right. Maybe the Alladin is a good idea for a backup.
I've looked around on the easyclicktravel-site and the off-the-record offer for alladin you mentioned. But I couldn't find anything about the cancelation policy and cancelation fees. Do you know whats the policy or where I can find it?
Yes, I made some tries for SFO 3-4 weeks ago, which were not sucessfull.
I'll try again this or next week and post the results (even if not sucessfull) in the other thread.
The Alladin maybe a good option, but I think this site maybe under heavy construction. From Summer 07 the Alladin is (according to my informations) called "Planet Hollywood". So there might be some construction work even in September.
Hi there,
1) I have made reservations for yosemitee area without using priceline. I've now posted a reply in this thread that says this.
2) I'll use priceline for San Francisco, but its obvious too early to get a good price through priceline. I'll follow up that thread as soon as I have any news regarding this topic.
3) I hereby bump this thread :)
I've changed my mind and made reservation for a hotel in el portal without using priceline.
Anyway, thank you for the support.
Hi there,
I'll stay in Las Vegas from 9/25 to 9/27 this year.
I'm looking for a 4-star hotel at the strip. How much in advance would be wise to do the priceline bidding? Is it too early or would it be a good idea to bid right now?
If I wait with bidding, I'll book the NYNY as backup for 159 USD through the nyny website. Is there any chance that I get a 4-star room at the strip for around 100 USD trough priceline?
Hi there,
I'm new to priceline. I'm trying to bid for a stay at SFO Airport (4* - sheraton or hyatt) from Sept 3 to Sept 6.
Is it too early for getting a good price? What would be a good bitting strategy (rebid zones and so on)??? I'm willing to spend max 90 USD per room per night.
My first try was 65 USD and SFO Airport zone. This offer was rejected. What would be a good next step?
Thanx for your help!
Hi there,
this is my first posting to this board...
I wonder if anyone had ever tried to book a hotel in Mariposa (CA) through priceline?
(I used the search function, but didn't find anything on this board regarding this topic.)
According to the pcln hotel list, there is only the best western in mariposa. So I wonder what bid i should try? Official price at best western website is about 95 USD, average price according to priceline is 75 USD
Any hints?
