  1. Hotwire has a 3.5 star for night of July 7 in Houston Galleria area for $69. Shows fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center and internet. Since it doesn't show suites I'm thinking this can be the Marriott West Loop. Can it be at such a low price? The lowest price on Marriott's website for that night is $129 and I understand it's a wonderful hotel, gorgeous, just remodeled. Can this be? What do you think it is?

    Thanks!

P.S. It looks like someone else a few posts below got it for $59 so maybe it is the MWL.

  2. HOTWIRE has a 4 star listed with suites for $93 for night of July 7 at Galleria Houston. Can it be that the Doubletree was raised to a 4 star from 3.5?

More importantly, there is a 3.5 star for that night with fitness, pool, restaurant, business center and internet for $69. Can it possibly be the Marriott for that price? It doesn't list suites so I'm thinking it's not the Sheraton but seems way too low of a price for the Marriott and it isn't listed as a best value.

    What ya think?

    Thanks!

  3. Today's Hotwire for Vegas 4* hotel lists the usual 8 amenities but NO spa. That's what has me confused. It lists casino, fitness center, pool, restaurant, business center, internet, golf and tennis. What's even stranger is that when you click on the amenity icons for that listing, it DOES list spa as an amenity. Well, which is it, spa or no spa? If it IS spa then I guess it could be Aladdin, Caesar's or Paris (probably not TI since it doesn't say "customer favorite". My guess is it's probably Aladdin since they seem to be having some problems now due to the identity crisis they are currently suffering. Price listed is $109. I'd jump all over that if it's Caesar's or Paris but I'd rather not stay at Aladdin, um, I mean planet hollywood.

    What ya think???

    All feedback welcome.

    Thanks!

  4. Cheapest is Luxor at $268, Paris is $372, Aladdin $475, TI $325, MGM $356, NYNY $323, Caesars $526, Westin $298. Although staying on the South Strip would be nice, I'd rather not go higher than $200. My alternative is to book directly with the Orleans or Gold Coast since the Gold Coast is sandwiched right between the Palms and the Rio, has a shuttle to Harrah's on the Strip and is about $96/night. I would bid through here for a Near West hotel if I knew I would get teh Orleans or Gold Coast but am afraid I might get the Artisan. I have a feeling the South Strip for $200/night might be a fantasy.
