 Since it´s a 3 star hotel it´s not listed in the Priceline Hotels List link in the forum. There is another place to find out with hotel is this one?

 But I just tried to do this and  HOTWIRE added a  $97.41 of tax recovery charges + fees, increasing the price to $96.25 ! See above:

This is normal? Can I get a cupom to pay less?

I have searched at MAPS and HOTELS.com for 3* hotels and I like the ones with 8+ user ratings (I would be happy to stay in one of them) but find some with very bad user reviews (dirty and noisy rooms, for example). For these last ones, I would prefer to spend more on an quiet and clean place.

 Ok, I will try to explain what I mean when I say that I´m trying to save money (English is not my main language so maybe I´m getting a bit confused).

 Now I have a simple apartment (without breakfast) booked (with cancellation free of charge) in Prague for $86. I would ratter book a $90 hotel (with breakfast) because I would save money, since I would not need to buy breakfast.  So I pretend to spend some time taking my chance for a cheaper hotel (maybe I can find a $80 hotel on Priceline), and them I will save money.

 Now I see that I made a mistake bidding $100 on Priceline.

 Because I´m trying to save some money and I hope to find a better price. If I can´t to that so I will book through hotwire.

 Yes, now understand you. Do you think that I can try to find cheaper hotels even if I decrease the stars numbers? 

 The problem is that I can´t find 2* or 3* hotels in the cities that I will visit. If I had the list of the 2*/3* hotels so I would search for their reviews and check if I´m ok to stay in them.

Today and yesterday I have tried the previous bidding with no success. 

 Should I change the strategy and try to find 3* hotels? The problem is that the only hotels below 4* listed here are:

- Park Plaza Vondelpark: normal price $180  

- Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam City Center: normal price $ 214

 I would be happy to book these hotels but I´m afraid to book another one with very low quality. Do you know if the other hotels below 4* are similar to these ones?

Yes, they would meet my needs but I think I can get a better price bidding at PRICELINE. What do you think?

 Since I care more for stars them to user ratings, I will start to search for zones with hotels with 7+ guest review, disregarding the number of stars. For instance, in the zone City Center - Opera - Ringstrasse Boulevard - Museum District, the 3* hotels have 8+ guest review.
