I do not see a hotel listing for the following hotels : San Francisco West JW Marriott and Monterey, CA Hilton Garden Inn. Do forum members add the hotels, or does thereuare add hotels to this list? I am not a very savvy tech person, so please advise. Thanks.

I think I unsuccessfully bid for a 3* in Oakland, and then decided that I was not willing to pay too much for it. So I started a new bid for 2 1/2*. I don't think there were too many re-bid zones, and I didn't want to drag out the bidding process another day, so I accepted the counter-offer. We got a king bed with a pullout sofa, neither of which was very comfortable. There was free valet parking and the room was nice and quiet. Okay and economical for a one night stay.

Do you recall if this was your first bid at the 2.5* level (if not, do you remember the amount of your previously rejected 2.5* bid)

This hotel is on the upper end of 2.5* in quality; I think it far exceeds the quality of any Courtyard Marriott stays that I have ever had. I had read noise complaints from TripAdvisor, so asked for a quiet room. I was assigned to Room 100, the handicapped room close to the lobby. The clerk explained that it was the only room available that did not face the highway. Each evening we heard lots of noise from the bar where a group of business folks gathered for the usual office bantering after their meetings. This partying noise usually ended by midnight, so I guess it is better than listening to traffic all night. The handicapped room had a very small sink and hand-held shower which my kids were not accustomed to using, so sometimes I had to get extra towels to soak up the water on the floor. I asked if there was another room the second day of our stay, but was told that the hotel was sold out. On the plus side, since we were close to the lobby, it was convenient to get free Starbucks coffee every morning and free cookies on the evenings we returned early to the hotel. Parking and internet use were free. Room had a fridge and microwave, and a coin laundry room was convenient with kids. The Del Monte outdoor mall was an exit away on the highway, and we had breakfast at the Whole Foods market several times.

Hyatt Regency $50, 9/7/07, first bid accepted.

Thought I would get airport Hilton based upon previous posts, but got Courtyard Marriott. Initial bid of $42, and received counter-offer to increase by $22 to $64. One night 7/21/07, $78.84 after taxes and service fees . Turned out to be a better location since I am going to a wedding reception down the street at the Oakland Marriott City Center.

Started bid at $70, then added re-bid zones Cathedral Hill, Civic Center, and South San Francisco with winning bid at $85 for 2 nights 7/19/07 - 7/20/07, total of $202.75 after taxes and service fees.

Successful bid at $97 for 7/15/07 - 7/19/07; 4 nights total of $442.82 after taxes and service fees. (Had unsuccessfully bid up to $120 for a 3* in this area.)

Hello. Which are the hotels on Priceline's University City category? I know that the Sheraton University City and Hilton Inn at Penn are in the zone, but are there others? Has anyone successfully bid and gotten the Hilton Inn at Penn? If so, what was your successful bid? I bid up to $95 for this zone for Oct. 1 - 2, but was unsuccessful. Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
