I have not made a decision regarding cancun, so i won't be posting until i do.

Hi, I am planning on taking a trip to FLL spending a few days, flying to Cancun and then returning and spending a few more days in FLL.

I will need to rent a car twice in FLL in less than a week.

Each time i rent, the rental company charges a 200-300 deposit on top of my normal rental charge. So when I rent a car for 150, they actually authorize my CC for 350. It usually takes a week or so before that authorization goes back on my credit card.

My concern is that since I will be renting more than twice in one week, there will be 400-600 worth of deposits/authorization on my credit card that I will not have access to until my trip is over on top of the actual rental charges.

My question to all of you, do you know which companies charge the least for a deposit/authorization?

I used the rezone bid method thingy upto 180 for 3 and 4 stars and got nothing.

I ended up getting 2 rooms (2.5*) at 165/night at The Exchange in Soho/Financial....

This for NYC 5/19 to 5/21...
