  1. Hey Guys,

Here's my latest purchase on priceline. The airline I was flying to New York cancelled my flight yesterday (Oct 1/06) and tried to put me on a flight 4 hours later. I would've have missed the first day of my conference so I had to beg for a different flight. They gave me a flight the day before, but would not give me a hotel room to make up for the inconvenience. So I booked a hotel on priceline hoping to get a good deal.

My first bid was for a 2* at JFK for $60 (I've seen people get this before).

Next I added flushing (no 2*'s) and bid $65.

Then I added Long Island City and bid $70.

Next I added Elmhurst and bid $75, it was accepted as the best western kennedy airport.

    Subtotal: $75.00

    Taxes & Service Fees: $20.77

    Total Charges*: $95.77

This is $25 cheaper than the best western website was offering at the time.

Also, I used the savingsbarn.com link to PRICELINE.

on hotwire. You probably all know already, but if you cross reference the packages on hotwire with the hotel list generated you can figure out ahead which hotel you are going to get. I have done this 3 times for L.A. and now for London, it's spot on everytime!
