Thanks you very much. When do you think is the best time to bid? Should I wait until we get closer to August?
I guess I would be willing to pay up to $100. I would like to stay in the N. MIchigan Ave. area. I am attending a wedding and the wedding hotel is charging $114 and it is not even a good hotel so I am trying to find my own accomodations. I checked you convention website and it is not showing anything for those dates. Any idea why places are sold out? THanks for your help!
I have bid up to $61 using my three rebids but no luck. Am I bidding too early? How high should I bid? Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help. I will report what happens.
Ok I will think about it. I think the reason things are so expensive is because there is a convention in town. Do you think as it gets closer to the date rooms will be released from the convention or it will just get worse?
Thanks!
Sorry. I didn't know there was a difference between the Priceline list and Hotwire list.
I will e-mail the link but it is on the regular Hotwire ratings.
Here is the info! I am very upset. Thanks for your help!

I took the Hotwire deal but they gave me the LaQuinta Inn and Suites!!! They list LaQuinta as a two star on their website but they gave me this place as a three star!! I called them and expressed my displeasure and asked to cancel because they misrepresented the hotel!! They told me that this particular hotel was a three star and basically too bad for you!! I am very upset. Can I get my credit card company to refuse the charges? Plus, this hotel was not on the list of hotels for that area on betterbidding.com!
Is there anything I can do?
PS I tried for a 4 star in Fisherman's warf but that didn't work either. I tried up to 80$. I stayed away from the boutiques because those look very hit and miss.
I went up to 80 and it still didn't work!
I just saw on the internet that there is a big convention in town that weekend. Hotwire has a three star for $60. It is the Holiday Inn Golden GAteway I believe. Do you think I should take it?
Do you think the hotels will release rooms later or should I grab the Holiday Inn?
I don't think there is any place that I really want to avoid. Maybe the Westin because some of the reviews say that the rooms are small. I just want a good deal.
Oh and yes I will take any 4 star.
Thank you for replying!!! I am new to this so I need help!
The areas I am interested in are Fisherman's Wharf, Cathedral Hill, Embarcadero, and Union Square West, not in any particular order.
I just want a good place for a good deal.
GO BLUE!
I am interested in the best hotel in downtown SF for about 75$ from 3/2 to 3/5. I would appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!
