I just wanted to update this thread and say that the hotel was absolutely disgusting. I have sent report to PRICELINE that this shouldn't even be considered a 3* hotel, much less 4. Really filthy conditions.
Was hoping for the Hilton Grosvenor as I've stayed there before and enjoyed it, but alas...
1st bid @ $55 came back empty. Was offered a 2nd chance bid of $64. Total came to $85 after taxes and fees. Decided to take it, and got the Millennium. Not thrilled, as the reviews on Trip Advisor are not great, and they have no onsite parking, but the cheapest room their website is advertising is $112, so I saved a bit. Can't complain, as it's only for one night.
looks like a great price, maybe a new low price for this hotel judging by your historic priceline maps. Started with Beacon area for 4* at $120, and then added 2 my districts and got this right away. $130 a night for a 4 star and not in dead of summer or winter in Boston made me happy.
FYI- I just tried this same rate ($130) for 9/10-9/11 - Beacon Hill, Boston Common, Boston Harbor Front and Quincy Market- and was rejected :(
We were looking for a downtown Montreal hotel for a steal, and while I'm not thrilled with what we got, I know that we did get a decent price, so I'll live.
We tried 3.5-4* hotels in downtown starting at $76 and going up to $96 using the zone add on method, but no luck.
We added the Convention Center/Latin Q/ Old Montreal Area and started at $76. We won @ $86/night. With their hefty taxes, our 3 night stay came to about $320USD.
Again, we are unhappy with the actual hotel, as it seems that it's more like a 2* hotel with a 3.5* location, but for the price for location, we feel that we can't complain.

Used the link from this website and searched. Express deal was $95 for 4* in Newport/ Huntington Beach, so I decided to bid for Newport/Huntington 5* at $60, failed. Tried again at $65, failed. Noticed that the Express deal dropped down to $85, so I nabbed it.
Total after tax was $105.
Looks like the property got great reviews, so I'm happy with it, although the $25/night parking kills the savings a little. Lowest price online was $195. Good steal.
