Ok, updated the thread from 2012 with the winning bid information. Had to dig through old emails to get the exact winning bid. Sorry about that.
The PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals for 4* Central Ka'anapali - Lahaina from 9/12-9/18 is $177/night. If it's the Sheraton, I'll probably pass on this as online reviews seem a bit down on this property.
The PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals for 4* South Ka'anapali - Lahaina from 9/12-9/18 is $214/night. I think this is the Westin since amenities listed include airport shuttle (Hyatt does not have this amenity). I may book this, especially with your 5% off express deal promo code.
Where are you seeing $219/night for Hyatt Regency? This would be the most ideal property.
Thanks!
Late recap. The 8/7/12-8/8/12 bid was won at $50 via PRICELINE at Treasure Island Hotel.
Thanks for the additional information. As I did the Priceline search, I also came upon a PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal for Central Ka'anapali - Lahaina ($205/night 9/12-9/18). However looking at the hotel list, I would very much prefer the Westin property in that area over the other choice of Sheraton. It doesn't look like there is any real differences in amenities. I even checked the Priceline (non Express Deal search) details on both properties and amenity lists appear to be the same. Is there any other way of identifying the Express Deal offered to me? Admin (thereuare), if amenities are sometimes listed differently, what other strategies can I use?
Thank you very much in advance.
Interesting. It was showing something different last night. However, I think this probably confirms that 4* in this region with Airport Shuttle is Westin and without Shuttle is Hyatt. I'll keep monitoring in the next couple of weeks and will replay back with my final bookings. Thanks!
Priceline is showing a 4-Star Express Deal Hotel (South Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area) for my travel dates 9/12-9/18. After clicking, the amenities shown is the following:
Pets Allowed
Business Center
Free Internet
Indoor or Outdoor Pool
Fitness Center
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
In the hotel list for this area, it shows either the Hyatt Regency or the Westin. It appears Westin offers airport shuttle. Based on information above, do you think this is for the Hyatt Regency? Any other information I can use to identify the hotel?
Thanks! I will definitely follow up with the results and click thru your site.
Clicked on the two links, will definitely use the link when doing final book. Thanks.
Hi this is my first time posting, although I have browsed this forum many times. I am using Hotwire to find a hotel for 8/7-8/8. First of all, is it too early to use Hotwire to book hotel? Is it recommended to wait until much closer to the date? I have used Priceline and that seems to be the case, but I have always wanted to nail down the hotel earlier so don't have to keep looking.

4* Maui Island (South Ka'anapali - Lahaina) Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa
in Priceline Hotels - Hawaii

Booked through Priceline Express Deal using the site's PRICELINE EXPRESS link. Ended up reading that Sheraton was not such a bad property after all. Seems like many actually prefers it over the Westin.
Got 6 nights at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa (9/12-9/18) at $177/night, plus used the 5% off promo on your site. They charge $26/night resort fee. Total is right around $1360.
Thank you for all the information and direction.
