  1. I was ready to go ahead and bid on a Hotel in Amersterdam. Just one night but then I realized that I might have a problem when I check in.

I have two little kids. One is 2 years old and the other one will be 11 months. We are co-sleepers and always sleep in one bed but could I have problems?

I checked out Hotwire but the hotel there is $200+ while a 5 star hotel on priceline is less than $100 it seems.

    Any suggestions?

  2. I wanted to give an update on our flight situation. I tried to bid on a flight and offered up to $900 but was always given a counteroffer. AT that point Iceland Air had flights for $1117 and a lower fare for a child of 2 years. So I wasn't going to offer more knowing that I could get a flight for that price and with times that I knew.

We still waited and the flights went up to $1300. But then yesterday United Airlines offered us a flight

from MSP to AMS (Amsterdam) for $840 with only one short connection. Needless to say we purchased it right away and are now in the market for a Hotel in Amsterdam ;-)

  3. Thanks, we are checking Iceland air right now and the prices are good. Still two connections but they also charge less for our 2 year old. Great.

I noticed that some flights are still wih a 10 hour layover. I am starting to consider that priceline might still be a good option as long as it is easy to call the airline afterwards to add an infant on a lap. I am worried about that.

  4. HI Romelle,

Sorry, I wrote from my phone and I am not that handy with it ;-) What I meant was, that I found the box you mentioned with kids under 2. I have not booked yet as I want to find out first, if an airline would let me add an infant first. But I really want to bid on it.$1600 for 3 people each is just so much money.

  5. We are looking into fligths from MSP to Germany. On other websites they have been at $1600 for this summer. We are thinking of going mid July to mid August.

When I go to priceline.com it says that it doesn't provide infant seats. So I assume that I can either purchase a regular ticket or can I just purchase 3 tickets for my husband, myself and my other son and then call the airlines after I purchased a ticket on priceline and just pay for an infant ticket?

Or can I not buy my tickets on priceline?

    Thanks for your help!
