On 11/20 I tried bidding $75 for a 5* in N. Michigan Ave - River North and failed
On 11/21 I tried again and failed, so added 4 1/2* and got the Intercontinental.
Yesterday, 4* MP/Loop $65 was declined for Thursday, October 4.
Today, 4* MP/Loop $65 was declined. Used free rebids to try $70, $74, $78, $82 and then
$86 was accepted by Palmer House Hilton. They did offer me the chance to add on more days.
Total with taxes and fees, $107.32.
Parking is $42 self-park or $62 for valet.
I am very happy because the hotel is less than 2 blocks from the event I am attending!
I started bidding late on Friday 8/24 on 4* in Downtown Milwaukee to stay on Saturday, 8/25. Using free rebids, I tried $50, $55, $60, $65, and finally won the Hyatt Regency with $69.
I was trying to get a 2* in Munising for Monday, August 27.
On 8/19, I tried $50.
On 8/20, increased to $60.
On 8/21, increased to $65.
Then my trip actually got cancelled so I stopped trying.
I wanted a 4* on NMA or Millennium Park Loop. On 3/18 I went from $65 to $80 using some free rebids with no success. On 3/19 I went up to $100 with no success. Today, 3/20, I got the Drake for $95.
Ironically, I had just booked the Drake to be sure we weren't left with nowhere to stay. They let you cancel up to 4pm day of, so I went ahead and hooked a room with parking for a grand total of $260. So even with Priceline fees and if I do the hotel parking, I'll still be $100 ahead.

After a few days of bidding in the 30s and 40s using free rebids with the other zones that don't go up to 3 stars, I decided to just go with $52 because another person on this board got the exact hotel I was hoping for with that bid. I am attending an event at the Marriott Madison West. I did not get that hotel, but the Holiday Inn is only one half mile down the road, so it is fine, too. With taxes and fees, it is $67. Thanks!
