Got the 3* Doubletree at the Lloyd center in Portland on first bid of 45 dollars.
Tried to get a 4* Downtown for the week from 7/14 - 7/21, started at $45, tried using all rebid zones at 5 dollar increments up to 80. all failed
Then I tried splitting my dates to 7/14-7/17 and 7/17-7/21. No go for same amounts above.
Decided to try 3*'s. First I started for the whole week, and bid from 35 to40 and then 45, (only two rebid zones). No go.
Split my dates and figured something must be going on and i'd have to pay more for that week, so i started at $45 for 7/17-7/21. Got accepted.
Not too bad all considering. I will post my first part of my stay in a different post.

Started at 40 dollars for downtown, denied. added zone, bid at 45 and got it.

Anyone have any ideas about parking downtown? Hilton and Doubletree both charge 18 dollars a day! ouch.
