I would like to book either the Westin through Hotwire or the Crowne Plaza through Priceline. The Westin charges $30 fee so they are about the same price all in. I am a Marriott Gold reward member so I'm leaning toward the Westin but not completely sold. It is an older hotel but I may receive perks because of my reward status, maybe room upgrade.
I tried to book through Hotwire and the only hotel I see is for $248 per night for my dates in the Times Sq area. Would you check the rates again to make sure I'm looking at the correct hotel?
Your help and insight is appreciated.
Thanks!
My apologies, I had some things come up and was unable to get back here.
Would you mind updating the hotel choices and the amount to $300? I would prefer closer to $200 but am willing to pay a bit more if the accommodations are poor.
Thanks!
So sorry. I've updated the London thread.
Update:
In the end, I secured a room in a friend's flat.
Thanks for your help.
Hi:
Hoping to get another fantastic hotel in this price range. A hotel around Penn Station would be best so I can walk to my hotel when I arrive via train. It's not a deal breaker though.
What do you suggest?
TIA
I've decided that I'm willing to pay to stay in the Mayfair/Soho area.
Three options:
PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals
Hotwire (never booked through them)
PL name your price. I've done this quite often but haven't done it internationally. I would only bid for 5 star using my free bid areas. The lowest price on PL is $314 for a 5 star. I thought about starting at $220 and working up from there.
Out of the three options, which do you recommend?
My highest is $275 per night.
TIA!
I would like to explore other zones if you are able. Preferably below $200 per night.
I'd like to be in this area but will look at other locations that are within my price range. Also, near the Piccadilly line would be nice but not required.
I think I'd like to stay between $175 and $200. It's just me staying in the room so I don't need anything huge but I want a modern room (flat screen, fast wifi) that's clean and preferably near the Piccadilly line (this isn't a deal breaker). I'd like a 4 or 5 star hotel but realize this may not be doable. If I need to pay more so I'm not staying somewhere substandard, then I will. The max will be around $250.
I stayed at the Sanctum and The Strand last year at this time. Both locations were nice but preferred the Sanctum. The hotels were clean and nice.
Hi:
I need to book a hotel July 2-5, 2018 and I'm considering bidding through Priceline. I've never bid for a hotel located outside of the US so I wonder if a better price can be had through bidding than just booking directly or through an online website. Please offer some feedback and/or strategy for bidding.
Thanks
Thanks, I'll check it out.
I ended up splitting my stay.
I booked a hotel away from the city and then moved to the Clarion. There was a large basketball tournament which was the reason for the lower room supply and higher rates.
The Clarion was a pretty poor hotel and wouldn't recommend staying there if possible,
I wound up booking direct through Crowne Plaza.
Thanks for your help
You were correct, the 4.5 star MSG Convention Center was the Crowne Plaza HY 36.
Price:
Rate $188.00
3 nights $564.00
Tax $142.00
Total $706.00
I booked it through your PRICELINE link as requested.
Thanks for your help.
PS I'll try to close out my past request threads but I'm not sure I can remember.
Thanks for the quick reply. I notice that I provided the wrong dates. I'll need a room June 8 through June 11.
It seems that the Crowne Plaza MSG convention center is $188 per night, correct?
There's also a 3.5 located in the same area for $180 and includes breakfast. Do you know which hotel is this?

I'm hoping to find a hotel on the ART shuttle system close to Disneyland Anaheim. I would prefer something clean with free internet and no hotel fee. If I need to pay the fee for a nicer hotel then I will consider it.
Priceline or Hotwire is fine.
Price looking for is around $100 per night.
3 to 4 star hotel
Decent gym (I am willing to pay a little more for this).
Thanks
I was considering splitting my stay as well. I can stay out a little further because I believe a car is needed in Nashville and I will need to rent one. Does this sound correct?
ETA: If the price difference isn't too much, I am willing to pay a little more this weekend to stay closer then change hotels to save $
Hi all:
I am looking to book a hotel for this upcoming weekend through Wednesday. I wasn't expecting these hotel rates to be so high. I was hoping to pay around $130 but I may need to adjust my budget.
At this late time, I think PRICELINE may be the way to go. What are your feelings?
Thanks for your help. I decided to book through PRICELINE EXPRESS and received the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile. Paid $110 per night plus $126 in taxes. Total $676.
I chose to stay here to be closer to Michigan Ave.
I would be interested in that hotel as well if you feel it may be a better choice. I do like to workout so I prefer a fitness center that offers a pretty decent selection of free weights, if possible.
Have you stayed at both hotels? If so, why do you prefer one over the other?
I am traveling 7/4 to 7/9 to Chicago. Looking at the following express deal from Priceline. Would you please help me identify the hotel? My guess is the Hyatt.
Am I better naming my own price in this area?
