I finally got 4* omni Sheraton at $110 for 4 nights. 6/4 - 8. I bid at $100 and was asked to counter for $22. I did not and bid for $105 and than $110 and got it at that price. Thanks all for your help. Now back to bidding for 6/8 at IAD. Any advice?

I know that I have 50% chance of them upgrading it to 3* so I thought I would bid 2.5* because I do not mind getting Residence Inn or Courtyard.

If you have AAA card, you can get hyatt in Jersey city, NJ for Friday and saturday for $157.50 per nite not including tax which is 13%. How would your suggest a bid for a one night hotel stay at Binghamton? There is only 1 or 2*. I was wondering what is a good starting figure.

Do you know which is a better one to choose? Hampton Inn Madison square Garden or Times Square North. I will be leaving this hotel to go to LGA the next day...Thanks for your help.

I have tried bidding for up to $100 for my stay in Jersey City and still got rejected. I'm willing to bid up to $180 for New York city. I do not mind 3* or 4*. I just want to get a place now as my dates are getting close. I have make a backup plan with hyatt for 3 days. Please advice.

I really confused right now. If I have to pay $110 for a stay in Jersey, then I might as well bid for NYC. What's your suggestion for me? Do you have other suggestion for me? What are your suggestion of the bidding strategy? Ideally, I would hope to win Courtyard in Jersey city because they have a king bed and a couch bed. Candlewoods Suite is 2* in priceline, right? If that is the case, then I will avoid bidding for 2*, they cannot downgrade my bidding. Let me know what you think.

The hotel at Hyatt, Jersey City is sold out from Sept 3 - 5. I'm looking to stay at this hotel too and have been making some research and found out the day that you won for $60, the actual price at the hotel is $165 a night.

I will bid $50 a night for 2 rooms in Jersey City or $80 a night for one room. I can changed my dates from Sept 9 -13 to Sept 7 - 11. Can you tell me how to get to Jersey from JFK? I have done the research of the hotel price for each day at hyatt.com and hotwire.com

I'm flying in from JFK and flying out from LGA. Will I have problem going to and from the airport to Jersey City? If it is not a big problem, I will want to go for Jersey city. Can you tell me whether it will be troublesome to travel the PATH with a young kid. After doing a lot of research over a few website and reading tons of review about hotel in NYC, I think it will save me money to stay in Jersey City
