Irinag
Hi! I'm looking for good 5* hotel on the strip for 1 night October 2 - October 3. We are a family of 2 + 3 kids, so want a room with 2 queen beds (and if possible + sofa, if not - will ask for roll-away bed). The budget is <$180-$200 including taxes and fees. Are there good deals on express deal priceline or hotwire? I saw 2 5* hotels on priceline, $137 and $116 - what can they be? $116 doesn't have bed choice, not sure it's suitable.. Hotwire has one for $175 and one for $183 ($209 for 2 queens) - what those hotels can be? Are there any good 4.5* hotels that might be cheaper? Would really appreciate your help! Thanks, Ira. AaronJB
Given that max occupancy is 4, did you want two rooms or are you looking for one? If you need help trying to ID a listing that would work for your needs (shows bed choice with 2 beds, is within budget) please let us know the zone name, star rating, price per night and full list of amenities and we would be happy to take a look and try to ID. You can also see the full set on HOTWIRE by going to BiddingHelper.com, searching for your dates, clicking "Hotwire Easy View", then the "Full Amenities" button next to the listing. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
Few comments to get started... -most of the higher end Las Vegas Strip hotels now charge extra for anything over double occupancy and/or rooms with two beds, so searching for 2adults/2children is going to increase the price. Are you willing to book for double occupancy if the room has 2 Queen beds (and then only have 1 or 2 people go to the front desk upon check-in while the others 'explore' other parts of the hotel)? -always use the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab and click the GREEN 'Full Amenities' button next to each listing to get the full amenity set as i'm sure the amenities for the properties above are incomplete (as the EASY VIEW does not give a 'Bed Choice' option, you will need to post the details from the EASY VIEW list first, but ultimately make your purchase from the 'regular' Hotwire tab) However, i'm familiar enough with Las Vegas, if you just let us know your thoughts regarding the occupancy question above we should be able to highlight the best options for you for this trip. Irinag
I'm ready to get double occupancy and check in as double. As this is for one night only and we'll be leaving in the morning anyway.. Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
This is going to be a little over your budget (but inline and less than some of the hotels you have already asked about above) but i think it's the best option as it gives you a 'true' Vegas experience, extra large room, and would be two queen beds with a pullout sofabed in the room by default: 5* HOTWIRE North Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $158.00 Free Parking Resort Suite Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> the above is from the EASY VIEW of BiddingHelper.com, if you then go to the 'regular' Hotwire tab you'll see this same price under a "5-star All-suites Hotel in North Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes" and thru the 'regular' Hotwire tab you can choose a bed type of 2 Queen beds for $183/nite. Thoughts on this one? Irinag
Which hotel might it be? It's $270 in total :-( Is there anything else that is a bit cheaper and still great? I booked Venetian for October 7-9 for $230 per night including taxes and fees through the hotel, so would prefer not to pay more if possible. Link to comment

Irinag
Thanks! When priceline writes that bed choice is available - and I pick 2 queen bed - does it mean that I'll get 2 queen beds for sure? And why Trump is so cheap? Is it a good hotel? Link to comment
AaronJB
You should certainly get 2 queen beds if that is a listed bed choice option on a PRICELINE EXPRESS listing and is selected at time of purchase. The Trump is generally a bit cheaper than the other 5*'s in the zone, possibly partly due to the fact that it is a non-casino property and slightly off the strip. Thank you for keeping us updated on what you decide and please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Irinag
Booked on HOTWIRE: Trump International Hotel & Tower Las Vegas for $93 per night. Thanks a lot for your help! Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your win with the board. (i don't see the 2 Queen bed option on HOTWIRE when searching for your dates but maybe you did see this on your own search) The hotel does run scheduled shuttle service to the strip, but if you want to walk it, a more interesting walk is to go out the front door of the hotel and right into the entrance to the Fashion Show Mall... then walk thru the mall towards Treasure Island and/or Wynn; it's just a more interesting walk and also keeps you in the air conditioned indoors. There is also an ABC Store inside the mall if you're looking for a less expensive place (than the hotel gift shop or minibar) to grab snacks, soda, chips, etc. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Irinag
Thanks! I didn't see the double bed option - but HOTWIRE assures that the occupancy is for 4, right? So 1 double bed and sofa is also OK for us, I think.. Link to comment
thereuare
HOTWIRE guarantees accommodations for everyone that you include in your search. Rooms at this property won't likely be doubles... most likely 1 King (with a pullout sofabed) or 2 Queens (possibly with a pullout sofabed) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
