thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! You could likely get a 4* within your budget, would you want to pay more for a higher rated hotel OR is the goal the least expensive 3.5* or better? Also, is the Times Square zone the only acceptable zone for this trip, as you can likely find better values in a nearby zone that is still considered to be centrally located. For example(s) along with our best guess for each (confirm your dates on the landing page of any provided links): 4* Empire State Building Area for $162 Pets Allowed Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess would be the highly reviewed St Giles The Tuscany 4.5* Central Park South for $179 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center ==> Le Parker Meridien New York Do any of the above work for your needs... or let us know how you'd like to proceed and we will advise accordingly. mulderxcoltrane
I am open to staying in a different zone to save $, but I've never been to NYC and don't know how far out from Broadway is too far. ;) However, considering we won't be in the hotel room much, I'd rather save the $ on a good 3.5 star and spend it on something else. mulderxcoltrane
The more I think about it, since we'll only be doing one Broadway show, maybe it would be wise to make our "hub" a more central location. Link to comment
thereuare
NYC is a very compact in the sense that it's very dense, but it's also geographically larger than many other cities so there is not one location that is close to everything. Subways are typically the best way to get around the city as they run frequently, quickly, and are often faster than taking a taxi since there is no traffic to content with. So the best advice when picking a hotel is to try to be near a subway station (the more stations / subway lines the better). With the above noted, what are your thoughts of the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer linked above that is believed to be the Le Parker Meridien. This is a highly rated hotel that tends to get good reviews (small rooms, but you are going to find that at just about any hotel in NYC) and is near multiple subway stations / train lines... it's even close enough to the theatre district that it can be easily walked to (about 10 minutes) if you wanted. I think this would be a very good choice, not to mention a good value at this price for this time of year (as NYC hotel rates tend to spike upwards in mid-April) Thoughts on this property... or what don't you like about this one or what is it missing so that we can better find something that better meets your needs? mulderxcoltrane
I think one of these clickable options will work - thank you! Link to comment
