DBounlom
Hi. I'm looking at a 5* hotel in Center Strip for 11/4-11/6. Can someone help me figure out which hotels are which? Here are the options on Hotwire Easy View $172 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Condo, Pet friendly, Suite, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Kitchenette, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower $240 FULL AMENITIES: Free Internet, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Spa services, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower $186 FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Free Internet, Suite, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Spa services, Kitchenette $251 FULL AMENITIES: Free parking, Boutique hotel, Casino, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access I don't mind booking through PRICELINE either, if there are some good options. I also had two questions. 1. I was also looking at Biddinghelper's Hotwire view, and it was showing four different rates for the 5* center strip. The rates are $184, $242, $184, and $254 respectively. Is there a reason that Biddinghelper's Hotwire view versus Hotwire Easy View are different? 2. Also, is there a cheaper day of the week to book? For instance are Tuesdays cheaper than Mondays? Thanks. Link to comment
AaronJB
5* $172 >>>Guess would be the Vdara. 5* $240 >>>Possible match for the Aria or Bellagio. 5* $186 >>>Possible match for the Jet Luxury at the Vdara. 5* $251 >>>Uncertain but a guess would be the Nobu. There is no particular day of the week that is cheaper. You may see slight differences on price depending on how you access HOTWIRE. You can access HOTWIRE through the site's HOTWIRE link or via BiddingHelper.com. Did you want to bid via PRICELINE, or would one of the potential hotels above work well for your travel plans? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. DBounlom
I would like Vdara at $172, but when I look at HOTWIRE through the BiddingHelper.com link the cheapest 5* rate is now $184. Any reason why the rate is different in east view? I don't mind booking through Priceline, but is it possible to get Vdara cheaper through Priceline? Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
My guess is that you were looking at two different properties... using your first post as the reference point, one was likely the $172/nite property and one was the $186/nite property. HOTWIRE will often fluctuate their rates from one search to the next, but it's usually by $2-$3 dollars and not the $14 you're referencing above... if you're sure you're seeing the same hotel, purchase thru the HOTWIRE tab or the EASY VIEW tab at BiddingHelper.com, we ofter both so you can compare and buy whichever is cheaper. On other possibility is that one of the rates was 'stale'... so when you clicked the $172/nite rate it may have told you that the rate was no longer available (and showed you a rate closer to $186/nite) OR when you clicked the rate $186/nite rate it told you that the rate has gone down and can now be offered at a lower price (but i suspect my first guess is the more likely... that you were not seeing the same hotel offered) Currently i'm not seeing either of these offered when searching for your dates... are you still seeing these on your own search? What are your needs for this trip, any hotels you're hoping to target (or avoid), and what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)? DBounlom
Hi. I am trying to stay around Center Strip, 5*, for under $200 / night. This is before taxes, fees, and resort fee. I always use BiddingHelper.com. I usually only click on the easy view. This time I happened to compare the hotwire view with the hotwire easy view. I'm surprised that I see different rates, when I am searching at the exact same time. I would send you screenshots, but I don't see where I can upload them. Please see the imgur links. <links removed> I would prefer to stay around Vdara since I have friends staying there as well. Thanks. Link to comment
thereuare
For spam and security we don't allow hotlinking to images, but i was able to view the images you posted, and i'm not sure what the issue is since the EASY VIEW tab is less: EASY VIEW TAB vs. HOTWIRE TAB $172 vs. $184 (or $185) $186 vs. $184 (or $185) $235 vs. $235 $251 vs. $254 (above is my guess for the EASY VIEW price vs. the same hotel in the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab... although i didn't click thru to compare each, since i didn't see the need/necessity based upon the info below): I repeated your search and my guess for this HOTWIRE offer: 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $172.00 Free Internet Condo Pet Friendly Suite Boutique Smoke Free Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Kitchenette Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> would be The Vdara My guess for this one: 5* Center Strip - Fountains for $186.00 Free Parking Free Internet Suite Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Kitchenette ==> the Jet Luxury at the Vdara would be my guess here So i'm not sure i'm understanding what the issue is...why can't you book the $172/nite offer thru the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab which is guessed to The Vdara (which if i'm understanding your post is the hotel you are hoping for and at the price you want to pay)? DBounlom
Hi. Sorry for the delay. I got sick. I still want to book for 11/4 - 11/6. I want to get two rooms at the Vdara. I still see the Hotwire Easy View rate for Vdara, and I think it got cheaper. It's now listed as $161 for me. However, when I click through to book it, the easy view takes me to the Hotwire site, and the rate shown on Hotwire is $175. Basically, the Easy View tab prices are not accurate. I'm not sure why. I think I found a cheaper alternative, but could someone confirm? When I click on the Priceline Express tab for 5 star Las Vegas Strip South, I see an option for $157. Here are the listed amenities. Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Since it doesn't list a casino, I think it has to be either Four Seasons or Vdara, based on the betterbidding Priceline hotel lists. I can't tell if it's Four Seasons or Vdara though. Is this a cheaper alternative for the Vdara? Thanks. Link to comment
