Priceline Hotel: NYC 4/18-4/21, 4* help

Hello,

I am hoping to get some help for next week in NYC. 4 Star, UES, CPS, Rockefeller, times north and south, grand central, MSG, midtown east, Monday 4/18-4/21 Thursday. Is $100 realistic? I noticed that some have resort fees so I do not wont to go too high with my bid. Should I wait a few more days to bid? And also, I do not have a preference of priceline versus hotwire. This is not a must do trip, if we can't get the room, we won't go. It is school vacation for us. Thanks in advance.

Do you need accommodations for more than double occupancy or is one bed in the room enough?

We can suggest a strategy for whatever maixmum bid you would like, but I think you will more likely need to be in the $110-$130 area to be successful at the 4* level in one of the zones above.

Thank you. Currently, Hotwire easy view has 4 star rooms in MSG, $130, Times Square South, $130 and $135 and Times North $140. Priceline express has times square theater for $140. So I am hoping that with the bidding option that I can get something a lot lower. Not sure if this is how it works. If you could suggest a strategy with a maximum bid of $100 that would be great. Thanks.

While we don't recommend bidding on PRICELINE for more than double occupancy in NYC (as many of the hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed and rooms with two beds are often considered an upgrade from standard... in Orlando it's usually OK, but not recommended in NYC)... if you would like to move forward anyway, i would at the very least remove CPS from your bidding as it contains the Hudson Hotel which has notoriously small rooms and i could easily be an issue for 1adult/2chidren (not just in comfort level, but the hotel could have an issue with it as you head to the desk at check-in)

Ultimately your choice and we will suggest a strategy for whatever you'd like, but please confirm if we should include CPS in the bidding or not.

Hello, thank you for the suggestion about CPS, I really appreciate it and I certainly don't want to be sneaking into my room. We can eliminate CPS. We will be doing tourist stuff mostly in midtown and uptown so the best areas for us would probably be Rockefeller center, times square, msg, grand central and midtown east.  Four star, dates are changed to two nights,  Monday April 18 and Tuesday April 19th. Thank you. $100 max

Well, technically your 3 people and booking a room for double occupancy, so there is no assurance that the hotel you receive won't take issue with this, but it's a chance you're willing to accept (although it may be a moot point as $100 only has a low probability of success, imo)
