IzzieUSA
Hi, I just found a 4.5* Hotel in Nob Hill for 199$ / night in august 2016 (24-27). Looks like it is the Scarlet Huntington? Business center, indoor pools, pools, smoke-free, fitness, internet, restaurant, spa Is this a good deal for the travel time and hotel? Or might it get even cheaper in the next couple of months? I've last been to SF 5 years ago and it seems like it got really expensive compared. Thanks for advice best Isabel Link to comment
thereuare
I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: Restaurant Pool Indoor Pool Fitness Smoke Free Hi-Speed Internet Business Spa Room Accessible ... if this is what you're seeing, i'd agree that The Scarlet Huntington is the most likely outcome. Five years the economy was in much worse shape than it is today and business and business travel was just starting its upswing after the financial crisis. Hotel rates (both discounted and thru traditional booking channels) have steadily increased over the last 7-8 years, with a few cities (San Francisco being one of them) having seen more of a ramp-up in rates than others. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. IzzieUSA
Hi, I just found a 3.5* Hotel in Japan Town for 150$ / night in august 2016 (24-27). Description: Free Internet, Business center, Fitness center, Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s) Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired I first thought it was the Hotel Kabuki, because it is the only 3.5 star on your list in that area. But this doesn't have a pool? So I thought: It might be the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway IF they moved that one up to a 3.5 star (other sites rank it as 3.5 star). The rate ist about 30$ cheaper than recent offers on other sites (including Holiday Inn itself) for the Holiday Inn. Might be it? What do you think? Best Isabel Link to comment
thereuare
Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the lower right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. thereuare
An upgrade of the Holiday Inn to the 3.5* level since it was last reported to the board would be my best guess for this one.
