Pricklecushion
Hello, We are going to SF July 31st - August 2nd and would like to pay $200 and under. Is there a neighborhood that we should look in for the best deal (in SF city not outskirts)? Also, is there a time that is best to start looking for the best deal (like 2 weeks before etc).Thank you for any info! Link to comment
thereuare
You should include all zones that are acceptable in your bidding, even if it's known to be an expensive zone and you think that no hotels will accept bid price, as including more zones gives you more bidding opportunities and more hotels the ability to accept your bid... worst case scenario is that you win a hotel in a zone for less than you thought possible. If you're plans are firm i would start to bid now... at the moment a 4* looks like it might be had for $200/nite, but not too much less than that. Did you first want to try for a 4* hotel up to your budget OR is the goal the least expensive 3.5* or better for this stay? If you let us know which zones you're willing to bid, and which zone(s) and star rating you would like to try for first, we will suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow. OR ultimately is the goal the least expensive 3.5* or better in any of the zones above? Please confirm and we will advise accordingly. thereuare
When bidding 3.5* in the San Francisco area you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. (NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc) Select 3.5* USW... Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $165, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3.5* USW and re-bid zone2... Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $180, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3.5* USW and re-bid zone3... Bid $185, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $190, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 3.5* USW and re-bid zone2 and re-bid zone3... Bid $195, if rejected add re-bid zone1... Bid $200 Any questions feel free to ask. If the above is rejected, do you then went to include all of your zones above OR just one/two additional zone?
