thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm not currently seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, are you still seeing this on your own search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or something other than the default 2adults/0children? If you are still seeing this property, can you confirm if there are any additional amenities associated with it, as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you click thru a few extra links. You can do the following to ensure you're seeing the complete list: 1) use the EASY VIEW tab of our BiddingHelper.com and click the green 'See All Amenities' button OR 2) search HOTWIRE (or use the HOTWIRE tab at BiddingHelper.com) and...click the offeron the next page click the BOOK NOW linkin the TRIP SUMMARY box click the 'See more' link at the end of the amenitiesPlease use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPS and HOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. thereuare
Please post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to future currency fluctuations. Best guess for this property would be the Warwick Allerton Hotel Chicago. AaronJB knows this area best and will know fairly quickly from looking at the offers if there is anything better than the offer above, so i'd wait for his comments. AaronJB
The Allerton has a terrific location and reviews have improved since it became a Warwick, but know that it is an older property and the basic rooms (which are likely what you will end up with) are small or quite small. What would be your desired max budget per night for this stay? karan92
my max budget would be $140USD Link to comment
AaronJB
Today I'm seeing rates down slightly. What appears to be the Allerton is showing for me at $112, while what appears to be the Public is showing at $135 - you may see slightly different prices. The Public is a very nice boutique, but is somewhat less conveniently located in the Gold Coast area, which is at the tip top of the zone. Just above your budget, I'm seeing what appears to be the Hyatt Mag Mile (on St Clair) for $147 and the Wyndham Grand Riverfront. My thought is this: if you are okay with the Allerton, I'd suggest instead considering bidding in an attempt to see if you could get a 4* in the River North-NMA area on Price.line for $90-105. Worst case scenario you are able to get the Allerton for less, best case you get something else. Let us know your thoughts on the above and we would be happy to offer further suggestions.
