Based on Hotwire and PRICELINE EXPRESS deals, I had a pretty good idea of where to bid. Wanted to get the Intercontinental but was willing to take the risk on Le Westin or some other 4*. Thankfully Hotel 10 is not in the same zone as Old Montreal anymore, so I am safe to bid via Priceline. Began bidding Old Montreal/Convention Center 4* at $95 and rebid in increments of $1. Accepted at $101 with no counteroffers, giving me the exact lowest possible price. Retail rates at the Intercontinental are $147. Over the course of the 3 night stay, this represents a savings of over $150. This seems like a really good deal given the pleasant Spring season. My recent midwinter stays in Montreal have been in the same ballpark pricewise. Link to comment
