XPEH
Hi,This is my first post, so thank you in advance for the help. I want to book two rooms in NYC, 4* or better, 12/28/14-01/02/15, preferably Midtown West or Midtown East. Any bidding help would be very much appreciated! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please provide your desired budget per night for this stay - unfortunately, the NYE night in the middle is often quite expensive. Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
XPEH
Thanks Aaron,I saw some rates on Pricelines Express in the neighborhood of 300. That's probably as high as I would go but I'd be happy if it turned out to be 250. Incidentally, are the rates on Priceline all inclusive, or are city taxes, etc added later on top? Thanks again Link to comment
thereuare
When bidding 4* in NYC you have TWO re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding. If these are the only two zones you're willing to accept you can try as follows: Select 4* MTE... Bid $230, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $235, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $240, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* MTW... Bid $230, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $235, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $240, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINE... Select 4* MTE and MTW... Bid $245, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $248, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $250 I'll add that there is this 4 Star Priceline Express hotel in the MTE zone for $268/nite (confirm your dates on the landing page... shows Indoor Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Fitness Center so my guess would be the One UN New York which you should double check the location as it is a bit far east in the zone (and if the location is not good for you then you may want to re-considering including this zone in your bidding as this same hotel would also be a possibility while bidding) Lastly, you could consider the Hlton Manhattan East which thru this link is $303/nite but has the advantage of being fully refundable up until the day before your stay (always double check the terms during the check-out process) which would protect you from rates rising from here and give you the ability to take advantage of any deals that may come along between now and your stay (although not sure how low rates will go given you're traveling during New Years Eve which is often one of the most expensive nites of the year in NYC). If you do book this refundable back-up, you could then also use our RateDrop service to monitor rates for your dates and alert you if any better deals come about. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
