Priceline Hotel: When starting bidding..??????

Hi, 

when would you recommend me to start bidding in New York.

Should I start already now, should i wait until mid of October or would you recommend me to wait until November? 

 

My plans are to stay from the 13th of November until 18th of November.

The issue with NYC in the late Fall/early Winter is that it's one of the busiest times of the year with business and holiday shopping. Given traditional traffic, I would suggest starting now and at least making some low-ball bids. 

 

What would be your desired budget per night, star rating and which zones would be acceptable?

I am thinking spending maximum around 200$ per night minimum 3,5 stars.

 

Desirable locations:

Central Park South

Midtown Central

Times Square

Chelsea

Would you rather the cheapest 3.5* or push towards the higher end of your budget for a 4*? I do think your budget is certainly possible and there's a number of possibilities on Hot.wire, including a 3.5* in the MSG area for $153 (you may see a slightly different price) w/ Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower. That would likely be the Yotel.

If you haven't yet, please read your messages.

Do note that in the CPS zone is the Hudson hotel, which while well located has notoriously small rooms, so make sure this would be acceptable to you before including this zone in your bidding.

Also, is there a reason you have not included MSG and/or ESB in your acceptable zones, as these are generally considered to be convenient by the average visitor.
