Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Loop - Theater District) Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront

I'm looking for a 4* hotel in the Michigan Avenue area from September 13 thru 16.  It would be great if you could help me identify two potential options. 

 

The first is a 4* in the Loop/Theater District area.  It has a 95% approval rating.  The amenities are:

Pet Friendly

Fitness Center

Business Center

Spa Service

Boutique

Restaurant

Internet

Roll-in Shower

Accessible Bath

 

The second is a 4* in the Mag. Mile North/Water Tower area.  It has a 90% approval rating.  The amenities are:

Boutique

Restaurant

Self Service Laundry

Fitness Center

Business Center

Internet

Accessible for Blind

Path of Travel Accessible

Roll-in Shower

Deaf Accessible

In Room Accessibility

Accessible Bath

For both hotels. I believe there may have been more amenities than you listed in your post. HOTWIRE has a new interface which is not currently showing the complete set of amenities at the usual point of the search process.

With the MileNorth and Wyndham Grand, I don't think you can go wrong either way. The former is superbly located right off Michigan Ave, the other centrally located right at the Michigan Ave bridge.

Thanks for the quick reply.  The probable MileNorth is no longer listed, but I do see the amenities listed as you described for the Wyndham Grand.  Do you suggest that I go ahead and book now or is it likely that rates will come down more in the near future?  I do have a backup reservation made that I can cancel.  Thanks again.

I'm seeing a 4* the in the Loop area w/:Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Business, Spa, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Wheelchair Accessible, Roll-in Shower, Pet Friendly. This would likely be the Wyndham Grand.

 

I'm also seeing a 4.5* int he Mag Mile N-WT area w/Boutique, Restaurant, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet. This would be a likely match for the Ivy.

 

Both are essentially the same price (you may see a different price, but I'm seeing a difference of a couple of bucks) and I would go with either of those. The Ivy is a newer property that is in a smaller building - with only a few rooms on each floor, service can be more personalized. Not a ton of difference in location.
