Mindybee
Sometimes I check Expedia, Orbitz, and other similar web sites for hotel rates. I've noticed that both Expedia and lastminutetravel.com lies about available rooms. They say that two different hotels are sold out for my selected dates, but I called the hotels and they're not sold out. What's up with that? This question has nothing to do with Priceline or Hotwire, but thought I'd ask anyway... :) Link to comment
thereuare
My opinion....For one reason or another, they haven't been given availability at those hotels for your dates.Rather than say "we don't have availability, check another website and buy thru them" they say that the rooms are sold-out and hopefully you'll select another hotel and buy thru them.I haven't used lastminutetravel, but i know that Expedia is notorious for this type of action. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Mindybee
OK, thanks....that's pretty much what I was thinking, too, but wasn't sure. Link to comment
zbenye
Sometimes Expedia shows the SF Hyatt Regency as sold out, and a moment later I win it on Priceline. Now that's ridiculous. Link to comment
