Does this sound like the W?

Heres a weird thing, I actually want to go the the day before but the same place doesn't come up. But the same place comes up if I do it from Nov 11-Nov 12 for one night, but at $275.00

Do I risk not getting the second two nights if I book the single night by itself first?

Thanks for your help as always, I love this forum. Will book thru your PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and give confirmation after I book.

This would likely be the W. Any time booking is done separately, there is always at least some risk that one will not be able to get the same property, but if the same listing appears to be showing for 11/11-11/12 and 11/12-14, then you could attempt to book both listings separately.

Personally, in terms of staying in MTE, I'd rather bid $225 for a 4* in the MTE zone and see if that is accepted.

Thanks for the confirmation Aaron.

The reason I don't want to bid $225 in MTE (I assume you mean on Priceline?) is I wouldn't want to end up at the Grand Central Hyatt or some other cookie cutter hotel. When going to NY I always try to stay at the more individual chains like Morgans Group, Kimpton or in this case W

I saw someone got the Royalton on PL for $225, that's a hotel I would try for if I was more sure I would get it.

With the help of this board I have been able to identify every Hotwire hotel I have stayed at in advance.

I am just about to book this when I see something else, should I post it as a separate topic or can I ask here?

This ESB property has not yet been identified.. but any thoughts on the Empire Hotel for $235/nite? The reviews are 'love or hate it', and the rooms are 'nyc small', but if you like Boutique-y type properties it may fit the bill (and the reviews of the W New York didn't scare you off :) )

PS- please follow-up your previous Hotwire New York thread with whatever you ended up doing for that stay. Thanks.
