Update on this room:

The hotel is indeed nice and well-appointed. However, I feel that I kind of got scammed by Hotwire on this one for two reasons:

1. Only 1 Queen bed in the room. I think a 4* should be 1 King or 2 Queens, and I was very disappointed by this result. The staff were nice but the hotel was full and they couldn't give us another room.

2. Hotwire claims you get the same room you could book yourself, but this is not the case. You CANNOT book a room with only one Queen bed on the Sheraton on the Falls website. All of their room options include 1 King or 2 Queens. I believe they have these rooms set aside that they won't sell to a regular customer, and dump them on HW or PL guests. You think you are getting a bargain, but you are not. I only saved $30/night over one of the rooms on their website, and I would have paid more to get a King bed or 2 Queens.

Had a great time, but really feel a little ripped off on this one.

I've emailed HW customer service, but I can't imagine they'll do anything for me. Just want to keep them informed, I guess.

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy for any purchase, and HOTWIRE guarantees accommodations for the number of guests you include on your search. Assuming you searched HOTWIRE for double occupancy the hotel has met their side of the agreement, imo. Other than only having one bed in it, if you feel that the room you received is sub-par and not up to a 4* property, that is a different story, but room type/beds in the room is not guaranteed by either service (and there are plenty of 4* and 5* hotels that only have one Queen bed in their 'standard' rooms)

In the future if you need/want two separate beds you can try searching HOTWIRE for quad occupancy which should 'force' separate sleeping accommodations available for two people sharing the room, but note that the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway brought into the room, etc.
