Please do a little research first to determine which zones meet the needs for your plans best... USE and USW are typically considered 'downtown' and Fishermans Wharf is the 'tourist' area... i would look at these zones first to determine you think will best suit your needs this trip. Once you decide upon the acceptable zone(s) we'll be able to suggest a strategy for you to follow.

Would prefer at least a 3.5* hotel. If the price could be kept under $100, that would be wonderful!

Do you want to bid to $100 for a 4* in USE and USW first, then if unsuccessful bid to $100 for 3.5*?

Or do you want the least expensive 3.5* or higher available in USE or USW?

That is, if a 4* for $100 and a 3.5* for $85 were both available which would you prefer?

So to confirm... you're looking for the least expensive 3.5* or better in the USE or USW zone with a $100 maximum bid. Is this correct?

Please confirm and we'll suggest a strategy.

The 3.5* in USE and USW are all $200+ for your dates so I don't think $85 will be enough but you've got lots of time if you want to try.

You've got five free rebid zones for 3.5*. If you need help ID'ing your rebid zones please ask.

I suggest $70 for a 3.5*, then raise $5 per rebid. You have enough rebid zones to go to $95 if you want.

For $85 Hotwire has a 3* in USW-Nob Hill that looks like Best Western Hotel California.

Please read this Priceline Re-Bidding Explained thread and see if you can determine your FIVE re-bid zones at the 3.5* level. If you read hte previous thread and are confused just post back and we'll break it down further for you.
