Priceline Hotel: 4* Chicago (Millennium-Loop-Grant Park) Hyatt Regency

After reading some of the posts on here I decided to make my first priceline bid. I bid $50 for 3 rooms:

4* Chicago (Millennium-Loop-Grant Park) and (North Michigan Ave - River North Area) for Jan 14 - Jan 16

The bid was unsuccessful so I tried again the next day. Same area, dates and 3 rooms but this time I tried $55 and it was successful for the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

Room Cost: $55.00

# of rooms: 3

# of nights: 2

Room subtotal: $330.00

Taxes and fees: $61.50

Total room cost: $391.50

Also I needed every room to be two double beds so I called the Hyatt Regency Chicago and found out that the rooms were automatically booked as 1 King bed. All I had to do is ask for two double beds in each room and customer service made the changes (even though they said that it's still not guaranteed and subject to availability). Priceline did not give me the option for bed types.

This forum was very helpful and I will make sure to use it every time I book a hotel on PRICELINE.

Awesome deal for this quite centrally located Hyatt.

Priceline only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy, but glad to hear that the Hyatt was willing to take requests (Hyatt is generally good about requests - I believe they have an email for Priceline customers and requests.)
