atl_libra
Looking for a stay from 6/30 - 7/5 40-50.00 budget. 3.5 star and up and would like to not pay for parking. Link to comment
AaronJB
Good evening. There is no way to ensure free parking via HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. Would your budget be $40-50 "all-in" (w/taxes + fees) or $40-50 + taxes/fees?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
thereuare
Assuming you can forgo the requirement for free parking (as there is no way to assure this on PRICELINE) i would begin as follows:At the 3.5* level you have ELEVEN re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3.5* Perimeter...Bid $33, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $34, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $36, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $37, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $38, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $39, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $40, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $41, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $42, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $43, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $44If you read the end of the above it will take you a little over your $50 all-in budget, but you can stop at whatever dollar amount you're confortable with. Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Goodluck Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
atl_libra
Ok...so just to make sure I have this right. I pick perimeter at 3.5 stars. If it's declined...I then find a zone whos highest star level is 3 star. So seeing as Atlanta West - Six Flags zone tops out at 3 star hotels, I could pick it as a rebid zone and in essence would be getting another bidding shot at a 3.5 star hotel in the perimeter zone? Rebid zones would be: (???)Atlanta WestForest ParkAirport WestJonesboroKennesawLithoniaMorrowNorthlakeSmyrnaStockbridgeUnion City Link to comment
atl_libra
Also...I'm looking at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia. I see it's a 4*. I"m willing to go up to 45 and see if I can get it. It's free parking so that works out. Since it is a 4*.....would I be able to try the strategy you gave with 4* properties and rebidding zones? If it fails and I keep getting declined, would I still be able to fall back to my 3.5 property strategy? Link to comment
atl_libra
I went ahead with the strategy....I'm all the way up to 48 bucks with no more rebid zones. So my next option is to wait 24 hours and try again? Link to comment
thereuare
All of the zones above are re-bid zones at the 3.5* level... but always doublecheck just before bidding to make sure that nothing has changed since you last bid/checked.If your bids above were rejected, and you're not willing to bid any higher, then you'll need to wait 24 hours from the time of your last bid in order to try again. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and keep us updated as to your progress. atl_libra
This is my third day going all the way up to 52.00. Any suggestions? Think maybe including the july4th weekend is screwing me up? Link to comment
AaronJB
I'm a little surprised your bid wasn't accepted, as I'm seeing a 3.5* in the Perimeter zone for $58 on HOTWIRE for these dates (and a 4* for $69.)Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
