  1. Thanks. You can probably close this thread now as I'm going to go a more traditional booking route due to some travel changes.
  2. Thanks! I'm wondering whether this a good rate for that time of year, or if I should play the Priceline game to potentially get a 4* for an even lower price. Can you generally get lower prices on Priceline than on Hotwire?
  3. Hi all. I'm travelling to Boston from 3/1 to 3/4 inclusive, and came across a 4* on Hotwire in the Boston Common - Theatre District area for $110/night witht eh following amenities: smoke free, fitness, pool, restaurant, hi speed internet, business centre. After cross referencing this with the list on BB, it looks like it might be the Hyatt Financial, and wanted to confirm tthat this was the case. Thanks in advance!
  4. I've decided to stick with my original booking at the Dupont. Thanks again for all the assistance!
  5. Great, thanks. I like the possibility of the Dupont or the Palomar, but not so much the Westin, mostly because of the reviews i see on tripadvisor.
  6. Whoops, sorry. I am looking for 1/13-1/16 inclusive. Thanks!
  7. Hi everyone, I've come across a 4* hotel in the DuPont circle area for the weekend of 1/13 for $94 with the following amenities: smoke free, restaurant, business centre, high speed internet and fitness. It is also recommended in 95% of Hotwire customer reviews. I cross referenced the amenities with the list here on BB and came up with about 3 hits, but wanted to see if I could narrow it down further. I do have another hotel booked for this weekend that I can cancel, but this rate is about $25/night cheaper and I'm curious. Thanks in advance for any help! Also, I did use the HOTWIRE link on th
  8. Hey everyone. Managed to get the Club Quarters for $87/night. It's a 3.5* that seems to have gotten pretty decent reviews, free internet and a very good location, so I am looking forward to try it out. Thanks !
  9. I did check through a few direct hotel websites, but they were the 4* hotels, so i wasnt sure if those were their regular rates or not. Considering that my $85 bid wasn't accepted, I might be willing to start looking at some of the 3.5* hotels at this point.
  10. Whoops, thought i mentioned that. I was using 4* rating for all my bids above.
  11. Hey everyone, looking to stay in downtown philly for a weekend trip for the 2 nights of April 15th and 16th. Started off by using the PRICELINE link on this site, and had the following unsuccessful history: Downtown Philadelphia, Trevose - Bensalem, Gloucester - Runnemede - Deptford, NJ, University Area, Cherry Hill, NJ - $85 Downtown Philadelphia, Cherry Hill, NJ, University Area, Trevose - Bensalem - $83 Downtown Philadelphia, University Area, Cherry Hill, NJ - $80 So used up all the rebid zones and went up to a max of $85 with no luck. Saw that someone else on the board had got the Sofi
  12. Thanks, mlaurence. Given the above, I'd like to try initially with the zones that I had originally listed to see if any of those work out.
  13. mlaurence, Thank you so much for the local advice. It definitely looks like the hotels in Cambridge are cheaper than those in Boston proper (i.e. the other zones that i had mentioned), and so I'm definitely willing to take a chance in that zone. However, I looked up the hotels in the Cambridge zone, and it looks like there is more than one that isnt near a T stop. For example, the Hyatt Regency Cambridge
  14. My immediate goal is to get the cheapest hotel possible :)
  15. Hi there, I am willing to consider the following zones: 1. harbour front 2. quincy market 3. copley square My maximum bid amount would be around $80, and my check out date will be March 6th.
