  1. Nice last minute Express Deal hit on PRICELINE EXPRESS: Amenities Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Business Center Fitness Center They booked me into a king sized bed with sofabed room. But since I had two adults and two children, they switched me into a 2 double bed room. I used a PRICELINE link from Better Bidding.
  2. Hello, I just wanted to reply to close this out. We received a deal to stay at another property outside of using Hotwire or Priceline. Thanks again for your help.
  3. Thanks for the response. I figured it was those two hotels. I just wanted other opinions/experiences. My group is still deciding on the dates for our stay. I will post what we decide to do. Again, I appreciate your reply.
  4. Hello Better Bidders. I am looking to identify two 4.5 star hotels in the South Beach – Oceanfront Collins area. Both are for 2 room / 4 adults. Hotel #1 Dates: 8/27/12 – 9/1/-13 Price: $170 per room, per night 75% Customer Recommended Amenities Listed: Resort Free Internet Pet friendly Beachfront Property Fitness Center. Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Children's Activity Program Accessible for the blind Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower Hotel #2 Dates: 8/29/13 – 9/1/13 Price: $162 per room, per night 95% Customer Recommended Amenities Listed: Resort Beachfront Property Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in shower I noticed that the vast majority of wins for this area and star level are The James Royal Palms. And, if I were to guess, I’d say Hotel #2 is the James Royal Palms. However, since Hotel #1 has a different Recommendation Rating, it’s obviously a different hotel. Maybe Loews South Beach? I don’t see Loews getting a 75%, though. Anyway, any help/suggestions/tips would be very much appreciated. And, of course, I will use a BetterBidding link for my HOTWIRE purchase. Thank you for reading and any reply. Happy bidding.
  5. This thread is pretty old, but I just wanted to close it. I ended up staying at The Chelsea. They initially give you one bed if you put 2 adults on HOTWIRE. You have to pay extra to switch to a room with 2 beds. I believe is was $40 per night extra. I haven't tried the 3 adults or 2 adults/2 children method yet, but I believe that gets you two beds. Thanks.
  6. I was looking for a last minute cheap hotel in the Atlantic City area this weekend for a party I was invited to. I first tried $50 for 2* and got denied. I was trying to get either the Dolce, Clarion, or Fairfield, which are on the hotel list. Since there is no 1* hotel on the list for Absecon, I thought I would take a chance (knowing full well that the list is not complete, and there are so many hotels on the Absecon strip) and rebid adding 1* and raising to $60, thinking maybe I would still get a shot at one of the 2* hotels on the list. Apparently not. I got accepted for Absecon Travelodge. With fees and taxes, it comes out to $79, which is only $6 below retail. So, not the greatest deal. A little disappointed, but that's the risk you take. Please add Absecon Travelodge to the hotel list for 1*.
  7. Just wanted to close the thread and say after several tries with PRICELINE, I came upon a deal directly from the MGM Grand, and due to pressure from friends to finalize the booking, I took it. Came out to about $493 for the 4 nights. Not the greatest deal, but it's done. Thank you everyone for your replies and assistance.
  8. UPDATE: I was able to try $100. Got declined and given a minimum free rebid of $122.
  9. UPDATE: I bid $90 for 2 rooms and was declined. They gave me an offer for $116. I still have not accepted yet. I'm thinking about bidding around $100. I guess I'll have to wait a few days, though, because I didn't get a free rebid. @JamieDDS: I don't want Trump, either. That's why I only selected 4*. I was looking at Monte Carlo. That will probably be my fallback if I don't get the price I want through Priceline. Thanks for the reply. My two main factors in choosing a hotel in Vegas this time is location and pool. Basically, somewhere with a nice pool on the strip between Desert Inn Rd (Wynn/Encore) and Tropicana Ave (MGM/NYNY). Anything more north or south is just too far of a walk for me (yes, I'm lazy). I stayed at Bally's during my last visit, being more price-conscious. The location was great, but the pool and amenities weren't spectacular to say the least. So I'm at least looking for a step up from Bally's. So, like I said, the Monte Carlo would suffice as a fallback. Pretty nice pool, decent location.
  10. I need 3 rooms for 4 nights during Memorial Day Weekend (5/27
  11. Reply was given in the San Francisco thread. Sorry for that delay. Since this is for Hotwire, should this be moved to the New Jersey Hotwire thread. I accidentally posted here. I actually was initially going to ask a question about Priceline, but changed my mind and forgot to change the thread. Thanks.
  12. Before I could suggest the Orbitz deal, my manager went ahead and booked the room straight through Hilton. Thank you for your help.
  13. Hello. I am looking for a room for Halloween weekend in Atlantic City, specifically 10/30 - 11/1. I need to have two beds in the room. My question is if I put 2 adults and 2 children in the search on HOTWIRE, will this guarantee me a list of available rooms that will have two beds? Is it better to put 3 adults? Thank you in advance for any assistance.
  14. I am attending a conference at the Hilton San Francisco from 8/13/09 - 8/16/09. I need to book a room for those days, and it must be at the Hilton San Francisco. What is the probability of getting the Hilton San Francisco if I choose 4* in the USW area?
