  1. I think you are quite right. If I expanded the zones to include Central Park South, Mid Town West, and Times Square, in that order of preference, how would you suggest I arrange my bids? Many thanks again for your help.
  2. Greetings -- I'd be grateful for assistance to get a 4* in the upper west side (afraid I am limited to UWS on this trip), checking in March 15, out on the 17th. I tried this evening with 5 re-bids up to $150 but ultimately failed. I'd hoping not to go too much higher. Many thanks in advance for your suggestions.
  3. Managed to get the 4* St. Gregory downtown for the four nights for 3 rooms at $145 per night. Final bid included zones Alexandria West, Bethesda, DC Suburbs, Mt. Vernon, Silver Spring, Downtown, and Dupont Circle.
  4. Greetings, I've used PRICELINE many times over the years, but I have never bid for multiple rooms at the same time. I will be traveling with colleagues to DC March 24-28, looking for 3 rooms in the Dupont or Downtown area in a 4* hotel. Through re-biddingwe went from $100 to $130 before pausing to wonder what we might be doing wrong. Ordinarily, I recall being able to get a 4* for myself for $90, $100, sometimes $110. But do the hotels tend not to respond as favorably when booking 3 rooms as opposed to just 1? Would be most appreciative for any advice or thoughts. My best wishes, MS
  5. Well, while they are different, there are still some nice places in both, and it's not as different as say Springfield.
  6. Greetings. I'm trying to help my folks come to Washington from October 17-24. Aiming for a 4-star hotel in Georgetown or downtown. What's a good amount to start bidding, and what hotels might I expect to come back? Any suggestions would be most welcome. Thanks kindly for the help -- Mike
