ericandpam, Just wanted to let you know that unless they changed it in the last 2 weeks, the resort fee DOES NOT include parking...it's $11 for self-parking & $23 for valet. That's per day and they also add tax onto EVERYTHING so the resort fee actually comes to almost $25. But as I stated in a previous post, at this place the resort fee is really worth it for all the activities they include...they just nickel and dime you to death on everything! lol

We stayed at that Hyatt last weekend. As AaronJB stated, you will be charged the resort fee of $22 per night PLUS taxes so it actually comes to almost $25/night. I usually consider the resort fee a bunch of crap but in my opinion, it's really worth it at this resort. It includes the usual local calls, pool, wireless internet, walking/jogging paths (woo hoo!)...but it also includes all activities on their lake (they have hydro trikes, paddle boats, & small sail boats. It includes access to the 24 hour gym down by the pool, 2 water slides at the pool, a 9-hole "pitch and putt" golf cours

Wow, this place was pretty nasty...hard to believe it's the same price I paid for the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta just a few days earlier. It's really a "truckers" motel. I have to be fair & say that the room itself was actually clean but the rest of the place smelled like one big ashtray & the halls were dimly lit which gave the whole place a "dingy" feel. If you just need a quick place to sleep for the night (which is what we needed) then it's fine. If you are women travelling alone, I don't think I would recommend this place...sorry just my opinion. Well, I went up to $160 and was still rejected so I finally gave up on the Evergreen. I ended up booking a 2 room "suite" with a kitchenette at the Hampton Inn directly through their website for $99/night. I'm sure we would have enjoyed the Evergreen but I don't feel like it's worth DOUBLE the Hampton.

I started at $40 last week and had to re-bid every day, increasing my bid by $5 each day since I couldn't get any free re-bid zones. I've never heard of this place but it looks nice on the website, it's only for a quick stop to get some sleep on a road trip, and it includes breakfast which is a nice bonus. It looks like if I were to book this directly through the Microtel website, I could get it for about $80/night. With the priceline taxes & fees, my total comes to $69.39 so I guess I'm only saving about $10 in the long run...that's like at LEAST 2 gallons of gas right?! And you have

I guess I'd be willing to go up to $150. If that gets rejected, then I might consider heading towards Savannah instead. We will be on the way home to Florida from Pittsburgh & just looking for a fun route to take...maybe even Myrtle Beach, heck we're all over the place! lol The Evergreen just looks so beautiful and I think the kids would really enjoy the pool area.

So I checked the "hotels won" list on the PL page for Atlanta (Stone Mountain zone) and it shows the Evergreen Resort as 3 1/2* I started the bidding at $85 and had like 12 free re-bid zones & ended up going all the way to $140 and was STILL rejected! (This is for 2 nights 6/13/11 & 6/14/11 for anyone who's interested). When I go back through winning bids, Evergreen is showing up as only 3* but the dates are pretty old so I'm thinking maybe PL considers it 3 1/2* now? I'm not sure. I'm afraid to bid 3* because I REALLY want the Evergreen. Anyone want to chime in with some advice?

Started bidding at $50 and used 2 rebids. Finally got accepted for $60 at the Marriott Marquis for one night 6/13/11. I was originally trying for the Hilton at $50 but then was hoping for the Grand Hyatt once I got up to the $60 & added the Buckhead zone. I'm happy with the Marquis though, I think it's a great price for this hotel. I used the PRICELINE link through betterbidding. LOVE this site!

Bid 3* Greentree $35 for one night 8/17/10...rejected w/an offer to up my bid by $10-$20. I rejected that offer because I knew I had 3 free re-bid zones. I re-bid for $40 adding Pittsburgh Southside & was accepted. Total including fees & taxes $53.02

Post cruise stay for just one night before flying home. Started out bidding $90...rejected. Used 2 free rebids & was accepted at $95. Total after taxes & fees $116.85. I used your PRICELINE link. $42 Doubletree Seattle Airport (1 night) First bid was $38...rejected & they wanted me to increase bid by $11. I declined & used a free re-bid for $42 - accepted. This is a post-Forks/pre-cruise stay so it should work out fine. It is for 2 adults & 2 kids so I'm going to call the hotel directly and "request" a two-bed room...fingers crossed!

Originally bid $40/night for 3* Ft.Myers Bid was rejected with an offer to "up" the bid by $12 I said no & took a free re-bid by adding Cape Coral zone & offering $46/night...accepted. 2nights 7/24/09 & 7/25/09 total with taxes & fees $110.87

Won on 1st bid...darn! Should've started lower. One night's stay 3* Hilton Daytona Beach/Ocean Walk. Used the PRICELINE link. 1st bid of $50 was accepted...with taxes & fees $63.81 I'm happy with that deal. I immediately went to the hotels website & was quoted $155 for that same night!

theruare-Thanks for your help. No Luck :) I bid exactly like you said but I guess $110 was just too low. I even added a night & went through the 6 rebids again & still rejected. I kind of figured that would happen because it's a holiday weekend (Easter). I wish Easter & my kids' spring break didn't cross paths, we might have had better luck. Oh well.
