  1. I started at $59 and rebid each time with an additional $5 increase. I like that you don't have to wait a full 24 hours anymore to rebid with Priceline. At my $74 win, it was 15%+ less than the cheapest rate I was finding online and a lot less than the conference rate we were quoted. Thanks, Better Bidding!
  2. I started bidding for a 3* in Puyallup, WA, on 9/15 for $50 without success and would increase a couple bucks every few days when I remembered. Early on I was offered to rebid at $70 but I didn't accept it. Eventually tonight I was up to $81 without success and then started getting nervous. I rebid tonight for $64 for 2.5* and BINGO ... got it. I think this hotel just opened in Jan 2012. It's not the Best Western across the street from the conference, but it's less than 2 miles away so I'm pleased. Looks like a great savings and rated #1 in Puyallup. Please add to the Priceline Hotel List for Puyallup.
  3. I originally started bidding at $33 for Mukilteo-South Everett region and was denied. I immediately re-bid adding the Lynnwood area and raising price to $36 and was accepted. Not bad for last minute! Also got the 5% discount offer with code: SUMMER. You have to be sure to apply this if it is still offered. The Extended Stay website sale offer was twice the price. Thank you, Better Bidding!
  4. I used the Better Bidding link and started a bid with $40 in Medford, OR for a 3* which was rejected. Immediately rebid adding 2.5* and raised price to $42. Offer was accepted at the Red Lion Hotel Medford. Yeah! Interesting...Priceline is offering express hotel deals at up to 50% off in July. When I searched their offer, I saw a 2.5* for this area for $53/nt. I'm thinking it was the same one I got for $11 less. Thanks again, Better Bidding. This is my second great deal this week!
  5. I have been trying for several days to get a room in Springfield. Started at $45 and went up to $60 with no success for a 3*. Since we are just two days away from needing a room, today I started bidding at $45 for a 3* in both locations Eugene & Springfield. Priceline came back with a counter offer of $58 + tax ($14.03). I accepted and won this offer at the Valley River Inn. Judging by the Yelp reviews, the place is in pretty bad shape and undergoing renovations. The normals rooms from their website begin at $150+/night with the 10% summer discount so I probably did okay at half the price. Next time though, I'll just stick with my original desire for only Springfield (right off I-5). Still love BetterBidding!
  6. Bid for 2* Boise Airport area only at 4 days prior to arrival. First bid was received for $30 Sunday night, May 10, 2009, for one night. Holiday Inn Express Boise Airport (BOI) 2613 South Vista Avenue Boise, Idaho 83705 208-388-0800 Room $30 Taxes $11.03 Total $41.03 Travelocity, Expedia and Priceline list the room as a good buy at $90/nt + tax, so I'm pretty happy paying 1/3 the price! It even includes a continental breakfast. Be aware, there is also a Holiday Inn at the airport (3300 S Vista Ave) in addition to this Holiday Inn Express. As always, I used the Better Bidding link for PRICELINE.
  7. First bid of $54 was rejected, second day (24 hrs later) bid of $62 was rejected, today my third day bid of $64 was accepted! Used betterbidding.com PRICELINE link for my purchase. They also gave me an offer to extend my stay for the same nightly rate, but I only wanted one night. Congratulations, your price of $64 was accepted by Hilton Bellevue Hilton Bellevue Bellevue - Redmond 300 112th Avenue Se Bellevue, Washington 98004 425-455-1300 Check-In Date: Fri, Aug 15, 2008 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Sat, Aug 16, 2008 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $64.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $64.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $16.87 Total Charges: $80.87
