Yeah -- That weekend is a quasi-holiday since the following Monday is Columbus Day (which a lot of govt employees get off). I tried for 5* North up to about $150 hoping for the Venetian or Palazzo with no luck and judging from Hotwire, I think you would have to go much higher. Decided to go for the trump (which is in the 5* North condo category on PRICELINE) and got it for $125 for the same weekend you are trying for.

Figured I would get Trump International and I'm willing to give it a shot, despite it's less than stellar location. Was going for $146 on Hotwire. This is a quasi-holiday weekend (Columbus Day) so I didn't have many better options. I tried up to $140 a few days back for a 5 star strip north, hoping for the Venetian or Palazzo, but those hotels appear to be booked up that weekend. Used the PRICELINE link provided to book.

Scored the Westin in Downtown Seattle for $130 a night for 8/25. Started my bidding at $120 for 4* in downtown, got rejected. Added zone (Bothel) and raised bid to $130, bid accepted. :) Probably could have tried for $125, but didn't really have the time to raise it slowly.
