  1. Bid 45 in Deerfield and then added two free zones(cant remember which ones) and went to 48 and then 50 and got it on the 2 rebid at $50. Was a nice property, room was cozy and clean.
  2. So this bid was for my vacation with my kids last summer to Orlando... the bid itself was normal just worked down from 5* down to 3 * in usual fashion adding all areas around Disney and universal till I got this hotel... The hotel itself is not bad, definitely not a 3.5 star and barely a 3* in my opinion. Room subtotal: $220.00 Taxes & fees: $38.88 Total charged today: $258.88 Total charged: $258.88 HOWEVER, I had major problems with this hotel from check in to well after checkout. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION IF YOU GET THIS HOTEL! I have used Priceline to book 50+ times over the past 15 years
  3. Late post: Just adding these wins in from last year. Was tight in booking a hotel for an extended layover for my father so kind of had to go with first one I could Bid solely for JFK area hotels, first bid on 3.5* at 85, rejected rebid on 3* at 90 and rejected rebid 95 and added jamaica(no 3*),rejected rebid at 100 and added elmhurst (no 3*), and accepted for this fairfield inn My dad like the hotel, shuttle from JFK took him there and back in the am without incident. He thought it was fine the rate on priceline for the hotel was 150 or so... not too bad
  4. Bid for the Detroit Northwest hotels, only Novi and Livonia have 3.5 stars. So bid for 3.5* starting at 45 with Livonia rebid 48 added Canton rebid 50 added Farmington rebid 52 added Plymouth rebid 55 added Novi and then got this Marriott in Livonia Good deal for this hotel. The facility was as expected, a fitness room that was OK, but nice pool and hot tub. Staff was good. The Sheraton in Novi slightly better in my opinion but still for this price cant beat it.
  5. Bid for the Detroit Northwest hotels, only Novi and Livonia have 3.5 stars. So bid fr 3.5* starting at 52 with Livonia(had gotten the livonia marriot last month for 55) rebid 55 added Canton rebid 58 added Farmington rebid 60 added Novi rebid 62 added plymouth changed to only one night and again at $62 and then got the Sheraton Novi; then just added one more night at same rate to round out my stay The hotel was excellent, very nice staff and they gave me a nice quiet room on the 6th floor and free wifi due to being a SPG member. Has excellent gym and nice pool/hot tub. Very happy with this w
  6. Made a booking for a friend's visit. Was looking for a 3* or better in the Fairfax/chantilly region. Was also trying to keep it below 50. -First started with Fairfax at 40 for 4* -Added chantilly -Added Dulles north and 3.5 star -Added Tysons corner -Went to 3* with the previous areas and got this hotel for 45, Which seems a price best for some time compared to recent postings. Per friend, Hotel was nice but some dated carpets. Lobby was typical and in great condition. Staff friendly. Good location and parking not a problem. Would recommend again. Thanks betterbidding for the help.
  7. So I made spontaneous trip to DC and was only searching 2 days before purchase. I wanted to stay in DC downtown and wanted a 4* or higher. -I started with the Georgetown and all the surrounding areas successively in the DC area. -Had to add suburbs without 4*(VA) . I had about 6 areas selected and had raised my price from initial bid of 65 to 85 and finally got this hotel. Judging by recent wins, this was about 10-20 higher than some other bids, but I figure for the quick planning not too bad. I would recommend this hotel for seeing the Capitol or museums in the area. PS of course used the P
  8. So looking for this hotel in particular because of its proximity to my test, Hotwire was listing this hotel(almost 100% sure it was this hotel) for 129/night. I tried at 65 per night for University City area and it brought counter offer for 79.00 which i declined and put for 69.00 which was declined. I added one more night and bid was accepted. Was there for USMLE Step 2 CSA (medical school liscensing exam) which is located less than a block away from the hotel. Hotel was nice, room was spacious with a desktop computer inside(slow as heck, but wifi was better) and nice flat screen with multipl

All the 3* around the convention center were already booked up I was just looking for anything closeby. First chose only downtown for the whole weekend and bid 4* at $49 trying to not get the Hyatt on Capitol square(too far) rejected Added 3* and went to $55 and again rejected added 2.5* with trepidation at $60 and was accepted for this courtyard by marriott Seems to
  10. I was trying to get a cheap price on a 2.5 or 3* hotel on 3/17 for the next day for my mother since her plans to stay with a friend around DC fell through. 12. Tried a first bid at 55 dollars to see if I could the other 3* property in this area the newer Radisson, but no luck. Lakeview is nice though and even though I could have got it at a cheaper bid 45-50 it is still worth it. It seems that the Radisson is harder to get now adays, but mcgervy seems to have better luck with it than me... l Check-In Date: Thu, Sep 21, 2006 Check-In Time: After 04:00 PM Check-Out Date: Fri, Sep 22, 2006 Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM Your Offer Price: $55.00 Extend Your Stay Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 1 Subtotal: $55.00 Taxes & Servi
  13. Four Points Sheraton Washington White House - Downtown 1201 K Street Nw Washington, District Of Columbia 20005 202-289-7600 I went to DC just for a day for rally over at Lafayette Park beside the white house and wanted a hotel within walking distance to it. Thought maybe try to get the Capitol Hilton for 75 from priceline but no luck, got this new 2.5* hotel for $68. It was nice 4 Points Sheraton and they put us in a standard room on the 9th floor. The checkin staff was nice even though it was 2 am. She even put us on a highest floor for better view and more away from the construction no
  14. I am going to DC just for a day for rally over at Lafayette Park beside the white house and wanted a hotel within walking distance to it. Thought maybe try to get the Capitol Hilton for 75 but no luck, got this new 2.5* hotel. Seems that the properties are moderately booked with vacationers and maybe the protest going on there on top of perhaps a busy Friday night. This was my bidding process. Started the bid for 75 for 4* White House-Downtown - rejected Rebid at $75 with Springfield Zone added - rejected Rebid at $78 with Crystal City Zone added - rejected Rebid at $80with Alexandria - Old
