Michele, I would wait if I were you. The one thing about priceline is you can't cancel unless you buy the insurance and get sick. I would think your chances would be better if you were wait a few weeks. Good Luck

Thanks for your advice regarding bid prices for a 4* in Santa Clara. I bid $45 for a Friday night, 7/21, and was told by priceline to increase it by $13 and I'd get it. So I went ahead and tried it and was able to secure the Hilton for $58. Not sure if it is 4* but it was nice. I think the other 4* is the Hyatt next door so you really can't go wrong. Trying on a weekend helps a lot since these are business hotels.
