  1. I am looking for the cheapest long-term (2 month) car rental in Petersburg, Virginia. If I need to go to Richmond or surrounding area to get a better deal, I would entertain that possibility.
  2. Got this hotel for a one-night stay in tonight (May 5, 2013- May 6, 2013). Total charge with tax is $65.08 This room with tax could have cost me $112.36 at a minimum. Thank you!
  3. I need a hotel room for the Chatham, VA, or Danville, VA area for the night of Monday, April 15, 2013 for one night (2 adults). check out Tues, Apr. 16. I did not see this area under the locations for the State of Virginia under both Priceline and Hotwire. I would like to use both in order to get a good. Can anyone advise me? Thanks, computer-girl
  4. I won the bid at $56 per night on the second day of bidding. And I will be staying at one of my top choices for that area. YEAHHHHHH!!!! Because HOTWIRE went from $59 to $60, I adjusted the bidding by an additional $1 starting with the $53 bid (this made my bid $54, then $56).

Because HOTWIRE went from $59 to $60, I adjusted the bidding by an additional $1 starting with the $53 bid (this made my bid $54, then $56). I had another priceline hotel win for another date which I will post in it's own posting.
  6. I have to travel to Houston, TX and I want to stay in the Pearland Zone. Check-in date: May 19, 2012 Check-out Date: May 22, 2012 1. Desired Hotel location: Pearland, TX 2. Desired Zone: Pearland 3. Desired Zone Star Rating: 2.5* Moderate 4. Rooms: 1 Re-bid zones: Porter (2*, 1*) Tomball (2*, 1*) League City (2*, 1*)
  7. Thank you for your speedy response. PRICELINE Has Maximum of 2.5* for the Pearland Zone. How does this change things?
  8. I can't edit my original post, it seems. Regarding choosing PRICELINE or HOTWIRE I am not really sure how much my starting bid should be (minimum), and I'm not sure what a "reasonable" maximum would be ($50 or $60?). What would you recommend for either? In the meantime, I will look at HOTWIRE to see if I can guess at hotels in the Pearland area.
  9. Thank you for your speedy reply and sorry for the confusion. I need the hotels for BOTH dates. I found the third re-bid zone, League City (2*, 1*). I will update my original post as well. I am not really sure how much my starting bid should be (minimum), and I'm not sure what a "reasonable" maximum would be ($50 or $60?). What would you recommend.
  10. I have to travel to Houston, TX and I want to stay in the Pearland Zone. I am new to bidding and was hoping that my re-bid zones are acceptable and if someone could recommend any other bidding strategies, including bid pricing. And which to use Priceline or Hotwire. There is no information that I could find regarding the History of Pearland, TX hotels. Pearland would also be a zone in Houston, TX.
