binciong
Used the provided HOTWIRE link and am considering:4* Chicago Loop AreaFitness CenterRestaurantBusiness CenterHi Speed Internet100+ total reviews so I don't believe that it is the W City Center Chicago which has 277 reviews or the Palmer House Hilton which has 875 reviews. Is the number of reviews a reliable check factor?5/27 - 5/29, 2 people comes out to $89/nightIt'll be a couple plus one so anyplace that we can get two bed (rollaway okay) is fine. We'll actually be staying in Chicago until 6/2 though the rest of the stay we'll be at the Sheraton Towers which is the conference location paid for by work. Anything big going on in Chicago for Memorial Day weekend? Link to comment
AaronJB
Good afternoon. Did you take the trip discussed in your prior Las Vegas Hotwire thread? If so, please post a reply in that thread with the details of what you decided. Additionally, have you made a decision regarding this Las Vegas Hotwire thread? For this stay, searching for 2 will only guarantee one bed; there's no way to guarantee if further bedding will be provided. Additionally, if the hotel found there was a third adult in the room that was not indicated, they could possibly charge an extra person fee.Personally, what I would strongly suggest instead if you are going to take the risk of searching for 2 instead of 3 would be the 3.5* Mag Mile/Streeterville that is showing for these dates w/Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Hi-Speed Internet, Business for $89. This would likely be the Embassy Suites Lakefront. If so, that is literally across of the Sheraton, which would certainly make for an easy switch when you had to change hotels. The 4* Loop that is showing would most likely be the W City Center. The 100+ reviews is the HOTWIRE review #, not the tripadvisor review #. Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches. Link to comment
binciong
Thanks. I took your advice and booked the 3.5* suite hotel and it indeed was Embassy Suites. Great Suggestion! Link to comment

AaronJB
Glad you were able to take advantage of that deal - really couldn't be any better - literally walk out the front door, then the Sheraton is on the next block South. This will be a far better location than the W in the Loop in terms of having things to do at night, as well - the Loop is very quiet at night, but there will be more restaurants and shopping open in this area. Michigan Ave. is a couple of blocks West.A couple of recommendations - the Dominicks Grocery across the street is a great choice for cheap snacks/drinks (and you'll have the refrigerator in the room) and Fox and Obel Cafe/Market (fox-obel.com) is a very nice gourmet market/cafe a couple of blocks East on Illinois and McClurg.
