SC Joe Posted February 2, 2010 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 I bit the bullet and bought on HOTWIRE without any inkling of what hotel I would get. It turned out to be the La Quinta in Port Charlotte.I don't know how Hotwire got their 3* rating for this hotel, but Hotels.com rated it 2.5*, Expedia 2.5*, Priceline 2*, Trip advisor 2.5* and Orbitz 3*.Hotwire says they take the 3 top travel sites and average the rating, so this would then be a 2.5 star. They also say a 3 star should have room service and on-site dining. This hotel has neither.Would I be sucessful in cancelling this hotel, due to the over rating? Link to comment
