slruud
Had the Omni San Francisco booked thru Expedia for $119/nite for February 19 - 21. Checked rates tonight and Expedia is offering same hotel for $94/nite. Rebooked and saved $60. Have same hotel booked via Hotwire for March 26 - 28 for $119/nite so can't cancel that, but Expedia offering same $94 rate.Sorry, but in my excitement forgot to use Expedia link on this site. BEAV
Thanks for the 'heads up', Steve. I'm going to check some alternate dates and see how long these great rates are available. I noticed for Feb 19-21 the Omni website is charging $135, so if you filed for their best rate guarantee, they will not only match Expedia's lower rate, but also discount it another 25%. :) Link to comment
slruud
The way I read it BEAV, the original reservation had to be made via the Omni website. My original reservation was made with Expedia, so don't think I will qualify. But it will be worth a call. Thanks. Link to comment

If your Expedia booking is refundable, you could start the process all over again, this time starting by booking direct with Omni, filing their claim, etc. May not be worth all that hassle, but for someone else starting out from scratch, it's a great way to get the room for roughly $70 ($94 less 25%).
