slappymartin
3* Woods Cross - Bountiful which is about 15 minutes from the airport North of Salt Lake City.My dates were Jan 21-25, 2010 and the Hotwire rate was $45 per night for a total of $207 ($27 was fees). I have papers printed from a previous look at HOTWIRE and this appears to be the same place that was $66/night then.Amenities:Airport ShuttleComplementary BreakfastFitness CenterPool (Indoor heated, yes!)Business CenterLaundry FacititiesThis was a great rate for those dates because the website price for the cheapest rooms average about $106/night. They have a dozen different rate packages (like ski, shopping, gas card packages).Trip Advisor rates it as a 2.5* hotel. Reviews are good on Trip Advisor. Also it's rated number one because it is the only hotel in Bountiful.Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Bountiful999 North 500 West Bountiful, UT 84010801-292-8100 :) Booked with the HOTWIRE link from Better Bidding.I will update after the trip if there are any problems. slappymartin
UPDATE Jan 29, 2010:A tremendous value. Close enough for me to drive to Ogden, Salt Lake, or the ski slopes. Great full breakfast, 24 hr indoor heated pool, very comfortable beds and pillows. 24 hr cookies, apples, and coffee. A trip advisor reviewer said that the curtains blow from the AC by the window, but that was not true; The AC is opposite the window near the bathroom. The curtains closed and kept the room dark. A teriffic bargain, especially at hotwire's rate of $45. The staff was friendly. They even sent a handwritten postcard thanking me for my stay. Never had that happen before. Also if you go, it is close to Neilsens Frozen Custard---Don't miss it! Link to comment
