AustinDude
My wife and I placed a bid for the Costa Mesa-Irvine zone, hoping -- based on Trip Advisor reviews -- to get the Doubletree. Instead, we were given the Marriott (Suites) Costa Mesa. [They are trying to drop the name "Suites" and just go by "Marriott Costa Mesa" for some reason.] We were pleased. As the name suggests, the bedroom can be closed off from the "living room" with a couch, chair, tv, refrigerator, wet bar sink, etc. Not only would it be perfect for those traveling with children, it would also be good for a couple where one spouse needed to stay up and do work on a laptop while the other retired for the evening.Did not notice any offer of valet parking. Self-parking was $18 -- steep, but our Priceline rate of $39 was outstanding...so we didn't mind the parking fee much. Breakfast buffet was $18.50. A bit steep, but the spread was impressive. Food and service were both very good.Location is incredible. Very close to South Coast Plaza...Interstate 405...John Wayne Airport...and tons of restaurants. We would certainly stay here again, especially based on the incredible price we got via Priceline. (Don't forget to use BetterBidding.com's link to PRICELINE when making your bid!) Link to comment
