chpdlivr
First time on this board.......just wondering about a hotwire offering. 4 star, fitness center, restaurant, business center and high speed internet. $69/night....December 9. Any thoughts on what hotel this might be? Just going down for one night/two days of shopping/eating/enjoying.Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
Welcome to the site. :)This could be a match for a few different properties - the Allerton, Westin Michigan Ave, Knickerbocker and Drake have all been reported with this amenity set. Without a tripadvisor rating showing, there's unfortunately no way to narrow that list down further. Still, $69 for a 4* in the NMA area is quite a good deal. Given that rate, you could also try to see if PRICELINE would accept a bid for a 4* in the River North/NMA zone for $60-62.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase. chpdlivr
Just booked a room for one night (through the link on this site) on HOTWIRE. Got the Allerton on Michigan Ave for $69. Seems like a great price.......not real familiar with that hotel but it looks very nice for a one night girlfriend get-away. Will be reading up on tripadvisor later today. Thanks .......love this board! Link to comment
AaronJB
Congratulations on your success!Very reasonable rate for this property. Glad you are pleased with the results - certainly an excellent location right off Michigan Ave.What were the amenities showing with this HOTWIRE listing? Thanks.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's HOTWIRE link.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
chpdlivr
The amenities listed on Ho.twire were: fitness center, restaurant, high speed internet access and business center. From reading comments on tripadvisor it seems to depend on what room you get as to how satisfied people were/are. Any other input is welcome. Thanks! Link to comment
AaronJB
The property was recently renovated, but it is an older hotel so room sizes are going to vary significantly. Still, in terms of being right on Michigan Ave, it couldn't be more conveniently located. There's also a subway station only a few minutes walk away on Chicago and State.Additionally, in terms of shopping, I'd also highly recommend visiting the State St. shopping area in the Loop, which offers stores like Nordstrom Rack. What is the date of travel (so that the thread title can be edited.)? Thanks. Link to comment
