Spent one night, December 11th. Bid for it about a month prior when Hyatt.com rate was $150-got it at $51. Great location overlooking the harbor and Shoreline Village. I called 1-800-checkin and was given room 108 (not the high floor requested), so called direct to Front Desk and spoke with Sean. He was very nice and reassigned my room to 1512. We checked in around 1:30 no problem, room was ready, and it was obviously busy (kennel show was at Convention Center, attached to the Hyatt). Sean took good care of us- very nice room with an awesome view of Queen Mary (even numbered rooms are ocean view). We walked over to Shoreline Village and had lunch at the Yard House (they have about a million different beers to choose from). We then spent some time, and money, at the arcade with our 6 year old, and she rode the carousel there. We walked back to the room around dusk and waited to see if they would be running the boat parade that night. It became quite socked in around 6- hard to see anything- so we had dinner through room service (excellent sirloin burger). Planned to go to the Aquarium of the Pacific the next day (which is right next to the Village), but the little one wasn't feeling well, so we headed home. The Pike (a restaurant and entertainment complex) is across Pine, and looked interesting (even had a ferris wheel), but we didn't check it out. Overall, lots to do in the area. One note: this is the downtown area of a large city- be careful at night.
