Blujaay
Following an earlier post of thesqueegekid, I bid for a 3* property downtown:3* - DT - $75Add Scarborough - $80Add Brampton - $85New bid:3* - DT and East - $90Add Scarborough - $93Add Brampton - $95All Failed. I should let you know that I am bidding for 4 rooms, so that may make a difference.I saw that a 4* was won for $108, so I am guessing something should come up for under $100 for a 3*.Take care guys. Blujaay
These hotels are all for friends who plan to be partying downtown on New Years, so I don't think they'll be in any position to go anywhere else... :)But if someone just wants to spend a night out on New Years, I will recommend the Renaissance in a second for $36. Thanks. Link to comment
Blujaay
As I back up, I have booked through www.lastminutetravel.com.They were offering the Novotel Downtown for $99 US per night (with taxes $111.40). I booked 3 rooms at this rate. They allow me to cancel the reservation 72 hours prior to check-in without any penalty. I was wondering if beterbidding has a referral link we could use for this site. flyme2
What a difference a day makes. Toronto hotels for Dec 31 are upwards of $124 on Hotwire. For Jan 01, the rates plunge to upwards of $64. Tell your friends to party well into the wee hours of the morning and then check in early on Jan 01. :) Link to comment
Blujaay
I started to bid again. I am bidding for one room this time just to get an idea of what is available. At $90, they offered me to raise it $22 for another chance. I haven't gone ahead and bid again but this is telling me that something should be accepted in the $100 range. Link to comment
