1TRAVELGIRL
I am attending a seminar at the LAX Radisson and am going to bid using PRICELINE (of course I will use the link). If I choose 3* and offer about $40 will it typically be the radisson? I have done some reserach & it seems that way just wanted to know if there are any other 3* hotels in the LAX area that I could end up with. :) Link to comment
thereuare
I won't go as far to say that the Radisson is "usually" won as there is a fair amount of risk in what you propose to do...There are at least four other 3* rated hotels in this zone, and on any given day you could receive any one of them. As well, the star rating you select is the minimum that you are willing to accept, and your 3* bid could be ugpraded to a 3.5* or a 4* hotels (in an aiprort zone it is very common to see high rated hotels won for very little)...which now adds at least another 7 possible hotels to your outcome. If you're trying to target a specific property HOTWIRE is usually a better option as you can often take an educated guess as to the identity of the property before your purchase based upon the amenities shown before your purchase. Still no guarantees, but at least you get a little insight, unlike PRICELINE where you're really subject to any hotel in the zone at the star level or higher that you choose to bid. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
