England London Sheraton Skyline Heathrow Airport

Just back from a conference where I stayed at the Skyline. It was OK, though I think it looked a bit old in the corridors and elevators...

But at 70 USD (85 with taxes) it was a steal. The conference was next doors at the Marriot which was a nicer hotel, but they wanted GBP140 per night, three times as much....

A quick tip, (which may already be known). Instead of taking the Hoppabus for GBP3 you can take a public bus for free. The bus rides are free from Heathrow until the busstop closest to the Skyline. The buses also runs almost every second minute so you do not have to wait either..

Also, breakfast is terrible expensive at the hotel. There is always McDonalds which is three minutes away by foot...

Stayed here for one night for an early morning flight. Check-in staff was really very nice, room was standard Sheraton. Just want to add that the public buses, which you can catch at the central bus station (lines 105/111/140/285) not only are free, but run more frequently than the expensive hotel hoppa. The hotel is about 3-4 stops from the bus terminal. Just get off when you see it.

Some of their top floor rooms should have a great view of the north runway, but I didn't get one of those.
